We have seen Moroni and Falcone but what mob boss would you next like to see in the films or who could fit in the films?

I'm thinking traditional mob bosses should start to be replaced by more "freaks" like Penguin or Black Mask, to continue the theme of escalation.

If there are more regular bosses, I would like to see the lesser-known Ruby Ryder, one of Gotham's female bosses, or Rupert Thorne.

Rupert Thorne is as good idea as any since Falcone became a vegetable and Maroni died. If they would use a "freak mob boss" angle, I'd suggest Black Mask, because he is more interesting than the Penguin and Nolan have never said that he won't use him.

since the mob was mostly done and destroyed in the dark knight we can have blackmask become a mob boss and bring a bit of freak to it and also make it more of a 50's style mob boss like in Batman the Animated series.

I really want to see The Penguin. If not him, then Black Mask.

Alberto Falcone would be nice to see and I feel Adrian Brody would be the perfect guy to play him but if I were to go with one particular mob boss it'd be Rupert Thorne and have either Brian Cox, Albert Finney, or Paul Sorvino play him.

Penguin- Timothy Spall or Bob Hoskins are my ideal choices.

No one here is in favor of Tony "The Boss" Zucco?

He could be the last of the normal crime bosses. Have the mob being run by either: Black Mask, Blockbuster, Penguin, Ventriloquist, or Great White Shark. Have Zucco break off on his own with the last of the traditional criminals.

This way, if Nolan wanted, he could even throw in a reference to how Zucco is using unusual means to do business because the freaks are taking over Gotham. He's forced to run guns and drugs through the circus, using their trucks and such because the freaks have a domination on the docks and other methods of transportation in Gotham.

Brody seems to be way too overqualified for Falcone. He hasnt done much since The Pianist, but still.

I would like to see Alberto Falcone as a spoiled, whiney unhinged psychopathic mob boss who is being manipulated by a real super villain like Black Mask or Penguin into starting a mob war he can't win, but that will greatly benefit someone else. (Examples: Roman Sionis convinces him to do it, so later as Black Mask he can take over the remaining gangs, or the Penguin convinces him so he can sell both sides weapons, or the Riddler convinces him to draw Batman out into the open more).

Perhaps I am thinking back to Sopranos and Reservoir Dogs, but I would like to see Steve Buscemi play him.

Whoooooaaa I totally agree with you. BRILLIANT IDEA! I love it. Even if Dick Grayson is NEVER seen or mentioned, Tony Zucco would be awesome foreshadowing and a nod to comicbook geeks, like us.

Yeah, Rupert Thorne should be trying to save the "normal" mafia, while simultaneously being decimated by the rise of the Freak Boss. Black Mask, Penguin. Hell, BOTH.

Gotta pull out ALL the stops for this movie. Gotta go out with a huge mother ****ing BANG.

Sorry I would buy Buscemi being Tom Wilkinsons son.

Rupert Thorne is far more politically inclined than most of Batman's mobsters. If they're going to use him, they need to remember that.

I think it would be a bit overdone if we have another cliche greasy haired italian mobster

Lets have Black Mask or Penguin or someone else

Cobblepot.
He strikes a nice balance between The Freaks and The Mob.
He's a universally recognisable, popular Batman rogue.
Plus, he's easily put on screen. No matter what Nolan says.

Thorne could easily fit in the movie, not as a mob boss, but as a corrupt councilman calling for the Batman's arrest...this would be faithful. Maybe, see him taking bribes from another villain or the mob boss from the film?

In my mind, the problem with Alberto is that--at the time of TDK--it had been six months since Carmine was committed. Logically, wouldn't Alberto have done something first instead of Maroni as a way of keeping it "in the family?"

I'm waiting for Zucco. And Dick Grayson.

Personally though, I think all that could be saved till Batman 4.

But that's just me.

Not if Alberto was the 2nd choice all along. Besides chances are if Maroni took over directly he was Falcone's consiglier or something similar. Maybe Falcone's cousin, so it arguably was the family. What you would want to imply is that Alberto is someone who is mentally imbalanced and was passed up, until he was the only choice. (Some how surpassing Sofia and Mario, possibly putting them under a house arrest kind of deal).

As for Buscemi not being passable as Wilkinson's son, your probably right, he is less then ten years younger and doesn't bare any resemblence, but thats what we have make up for.

All this talk about Alberto is stupid. Falcone NEVER wanted Alberto as part of the family business. He always kept him out of it, and separate from it. He wouldn't have left his empire to Alberto. He viewed Alberto as weak, and not able to handle the job. Remember guys? This is why Alberto claimed he committed the Holiday murders...to "man up" and prove himself.

-Mario Falcone was more suitable for the job, though he turns out to actually be altruistic in nature.

-Sofia was the one that was strong enough...why force Alberto into a role that wouldn't have been his?

From Batman: The Long Halloween:

Alberto Falcone: Since you had business to attend to. Every. Single. Year.

Carmine Falcone: I... Thought you understood...

Alberto Falcone: I do understand, Poppa. It's why you sent me away to Oxford. You didn't want my help even when I offered. You didn't want me in the "Family Business". You and your Father. And his father before that. You thought that Gotham City was synonymous with organized crime. But, Gotham City has changed. It doesn't want your kind anymore. Now look at me. I'm bigger than all of you put together. I AM HOLIDAY.

Falcone wouldn't leave his empire to Alberto. And Alberto wouldn't take it to become a traditional mobster...

Why is this what you guys want?

Next film:

Traditional mobster= Tony Zucco
Corrupt City Councilman calling for Batman's arrest= Rupert Thorne
Freak crime boss= Black Mask or Oswald Cobblepot

Zucco would be cool to see..... if they do end it at 3 I really wouldn't be opposed to DICK GRAYSON (not Robin) being introduced.... Id hate to see Batman actually bringing a child out with him in the movie.. Also If Nolan ever did Dick Grayson Id prefer him to be a child.. like the take he had in Dark Victory,,,, I always hated Chris O'Donnel being adopted at 25 years old... even in grade 4 when Batman Forever came out.....

I wonder If they do Catwoman if they will put her tie to the mob in the film... I know in the comics she was Falcones estranged daughter but the movie haven't been adapted straight from the pages of comic books.... an example is how Falcone and Harvey Dent were not at war with one another like in the Long Halloween... in TDK Harvey was just dealing with the after math of Falcone and Maroni being "in charge"....

Anyways maybe If everyone thinks Batman is this mobster/cop killer..... maybe Maroni estranged daughter could be Selina Kyle? she would most likely have some wealth to put herself together as a vigilante... I know she is a cat burglar maybe that could be in there too somehow... anyways it was nothing serious just something that crossed my mind when thinking back to DV and Tony Zucco... hmm if Catwoman was in the next film along with Riddler it would be like "When in rome".... Id still LOVE to see Heaths Joker from the point of view of someone under the fear gas ...similar to Riddler on the plane from the end of When In Rome
