Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)
I love the end where Wonka explodes in anger. Wilder's Wonka was odd but pleasant and amicable throughout the movie. This scene makes him even better. It shows he is well aware (his previous comments like "we are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams" do this too) and has been paying acute attention to everything even if he doesn't comment on it or indicate as much. He shows a whole other side.
That scene used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. He's so intense, and the aftermath is so awkward. He really seemed genuinely angry, it was very well acted.
