What's The Last Movie You Watched? - - Part 19

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971)

I love the end where Wonka explodes in anger. Wilder's Wonka was odd but pleasant and amicable throughout the movie. This scene makes him even better. It shows he is well aware (his previous comments like "we are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams" do this too) and has been paying acute attention to everything even if he doesn't comment on it or indicate as much. He shows a whole other side.

That scene used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. He's so intense, and the aftermath is so awkward. He really seemed genuinely angry, it was very well acted.

Meet Joe Black

I won't rate it 'cause I didn't finish it, it was so damn boring.

Jack Reacher

A film that I believe was marketed wrong because I was going in expecting a big Tom Cruise actioner when it's really not that at all. It's a small scope detective/action film that I really dug. It kept me guessing throughout and while I see where it was heading, they pulled it off. It's got a weird balance of serious/uncomfortable scenes and comedy that I didn't mind actually.
8/10

John Carter

Saw it again and I still can't believe this didn't perform huge critically and financially.

^^ I love the first two Jurassic Park films so much.

The Polar Express (2004) One of my daughter's current favorite movies.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

On Blu Ray. I keep forgetting just how freaking badass and epic the bridge finale is. Indy just cuts the damn bridge. It never fails to thrill me each time.

Me too. Atmosphere is the word with these flicks. For example when I see the words 'Jurassic Park' I imagine a jungle at night with rain pouring down. I went on the ride at Universal Studios LA recently and think they captured the right vibe.

I watched The Truman Show as well recently. Good movie, very interesting. Fun but also quite sad with good points about life and how we live it.

The Thing (1982)

I remember this being better, I actually fell asleep during the last 20 minutes. The concept is great but the acting, fights and pacing are dreadful. 4/10

The Expendables 2
6/10

Fun action scenes, fun score
But I have the guts to say it's Expendable

Did the writer of the movie write that line for you? :oldrazz:

Very good. Didn't see that twist coming.

David Goyer needs a filter. Whether it be Del Toro, Nolan, Norrington or whoever, it's always better when he's bouncing off idea with more talented people.

What he was saying is that, if it where a ROCKY production that was TERMINATED, he wouldn't DIE HARD with UNLEASHED emotion, just simply TRANSPORT(ER) himself to another theater and maybe watch Battleship, UNIVERSAL's SOLDIER movie? He UNDISPUTEDly sure to be a LONE WOLF in that regard.

Django Unchained- Second time theatrically

Tropa Di Elite - 8/10

Tropa Di Elite: The Enemy Within - 9/10

Sort of :hehe:

I think it's the most disappointing movie to come last year, trailer shows Arnold in all glory, as if his role is bigger, not just a guest star in the last 20 minutes and a cameo in the opening scene

Bruce Willis and Arnold trading lines is a funny scene

This would be my favourite of the series if it wasn't for such a crappy villain.
