Cosmopolis (2012)

A rare miss for Cronenberg, but a really big one. Pretentious and boring. Even Paul Giamatti playing Mr. Plinkett couldn't save it.

Sorry, Wrong Number (1948)

Trapeze (1956)

John Carpenter's The Thing (1982)

Life of Pi. Pretty amazing film. "Richard Parker" is one of the most beautiful, if not the most beautiful, CGI creation I have ever seen.

Les Miserables

I couldn't believe how much of Richard Parker was actually CGI creation when I looked it up later in the evening.

Six Bullets (2012)

Meh. I hope this year marks the end of Jean Claude Van Damme doing these boring, dreary Eastern Europe DTV movies. He played his role really well, but it's wasted here. I hope he gets to make that rumoured heist movie with Dermot Mulroney, Lennie James and Alfred Molina.

I almost like this one better than the first film. Mainly because
it turns out it isn't a true virus but demonic possession.

Mildly entertaining twist on the Dickens classic. 6/10

The gold standard of the genre. 10/10

Good natured fun clinging to that lovely whiff of the 80's. 7.5/10
