I still remember how hyped I got from the trailer on this one at a cinema visit. The film itself was far from as good as expected, but nowadays it's quite fun to watch DM if it turns up on the telly. Early 90's sci-fi flicks with guys like Stallone and Snipes still has it's charm.

Yeah it's just all around dumb fun unlike The Expendable movies which are just plain dumb.

Just for the record, Skyfall was - being generous - pretty mediocre. But that's being generous. Realistically, that's quiet a poor movie. However, it looked absolutely amazing. Beautiful cinematography. Shame about almost everything else, though. And this is coming from someone who was REALLY looking forward to it, so no 'hating' here. It was just bad. I won't go into detail until I see it again, because when I saw it I was desperately trying to like it. I'll give it another pass to refresh my memory and see if anything's different.

Oh man thank you, I agree technically the stuntwork was ok and everything and while it's not a bad Bond movie it certainly didn't live up to my expectations after hearing so many comparisons to The Dark Knight Rises that I was waiting to see another masterpiece.

The Thieves

A pretty strong heist film that has both a good drama along with some comedic moments. Strong performances from almost the entire cast that reminds me more like Oceans Eleven but done a little better. The action scenes near the end reminded me of the last Mission Impossible film which is not a bad thing at all. Everyone should really check this out.

Currently watching pasolini's adaption of Medea in my film class...it ranges from hilarious to irritating, which explains why I'm on my iPad while "watching" it lol. It's funny, the professor doesn't stay for the screenings, she just leaves her TA behind, who doesn't care if people stay...I've never seen the class shrink so gradually lol.

Quite strange film, kinda hard to tell if it's supposed to be a comedy, lighthearted drama or some sort of rom com. Or all of that combined.
