the only power he didn't display was his interdimensional portals he can create with mjolnir. remember odin said mjolnir was a weapon to destroy as well as create. im sure thor was never told about being able to make portals to other realms because he was to headstrong and would rush off to battle whenever and where ever he wanted.

now that he is a changed man maybe odin will tell him about this power or grant it to him. this will allow him to show up on earth for the avengers. also its the only power he hasn't shown yet so it would be a good surprise for people who don't know he can do that.

This isn't a complaint, but they having really shown much of Thor's strength which is very understandable due to the films major focus on Mjolnir.

So hopefully we get to see more of Thor's strength in the Avengers next year and in Thor 2.

Call me a sucker for fight scenes taking place in Urban Areas, but i think it would be bad ass to see all these Epic heroes duking it out in the city streets, and really show some destruction

I know it has been already with Superman 2, Transformers. and TIH, but man would i love to see The Avengers fighting who ever the bad guys in the middle of a populated urban city.

Oh I agree that's I only said a part of it should take place in Asgard lots of awesome possibilties, from an audience perspective I say the city action makes more sense makes it more personal if that makes any sense, instead of a far away fantasy land.

Can't wait to see what they cook up. We may even see some star wars type action with Shield and Skrull ships fighting Maybe Thor & Iron -Man in the aerial Battle as well.......God is it May 2012 yet?

There are three areas of battle I'd like to see

1. In an urban/city area
2. In the Air Shield Helicarrier and ships Vs. Anything it has to destroy
3. In Asgard maybe a continuation of any of the above 2

Personally I feel we will be getting the 1rst 2 for sure, the third is just wishful thinking on my part.

Well, Lord of The Rings doesn't have chararcters as powerful as Thor, Hulk, and Iron Man so I'd say that this film is going to be much more epic.

I want to see more crockery smashing from Thor. Of course, it's at times like these that I wish we had an actual Jarvis the butler. It would be funny to see what he makes of all these super human types suddenly invading the sanctity of the Avengers' mansion and acting in a brash manner. Imagine Edwin Jarvis's reaction to Thor smashing his prized china or Hulk trashing the place/ raiding his fridge/ demanding beans.

a scene with Thor and Jane Foster, just showing that he kept his word and did return to her as promised, and didn't leave her hanging with the standard line to girls "I'll call you" but then never does, although I'm sure she will understand that he couldn't return. However, it would seem a bit weird that he returns to earth for the Avengers and doesn't even visit her.

That's why I hope Portman will cameo, but if not then Thor ought to mention after the plot is dealt with that he has a friend he must visit.

Of course, thought Jarvis is a computer now he could take on a holoavatar of the comics Jarvis (the Iron Man 2 comic shows the computer is based on Howard's butler). He can still react to a chaotic household: that is, if the Avengers Mansion exists.

Yeah, it feels like Portman almost HAS to be in it, with the way Thor ended. It just would make sense that the first thing he would do when he finds a way back would be to locate her. Unless of course, he's sidetracked by an enemy or something. But I hope not. I want to see more of Jane.

I would love to see Thor go back to Jane towards the end of Avengers. Maybe there will be rumors in the coming months of Portman possibly making an appearance. But she does have her pregnancy. If this shoots until September, they can save it for that time.
