I'm keen to see if they have a huge Loki/Thor confrontation in Avengers or if they'll save it for Thor 2: Return to Absgard! No, that wasn't a typo. Absgard!

there was a fake script leak a while back, when i heard about the finale, it's something i could live with.

For the big ending, Thor against loki somewhere, Ironman and fury against agent hill/skrull queen and captain america leading everyone else on the ground against skrulls

i'd LOVE for the climax to be a HUGE battle. in almost all of the marvel studios films so far, we've had lackluster ending battles. i hope the one in avengers is long and epic, there are a lot of people involved after all.

That sounds like an awesome ending, I'd love for the final battle to shape up to be something like that.

I have to disagree on Marvel Studios having lackluster battles, Iron Man 1 & 2 are the only Marvel Studios films with lackluster battles imo and even those two have their moments.

TIH's final battle was pretty epic and Thor's final fight served it's purpose as an emotionally charged confrontation between two brothers rather than being a drawn out battle (the fight wasn't half bad either).

But still the Thor finale the last big action scene was poor yeah it was emotional the whole damn movie was...they could have made it a lot better look better I want to see something like tih where the battle goes from a different place to another place I want to see people going through buildings a subway fight and somebody being thrown out from the subway to a more populated area something really badass and epic!!!!

the battle against loki 1v1 would never be some epic battle. thor is just too powerful, when he says enough, its over.

That has been my biggest problem with these movies too. While I think the action is pretty good the battles always feel small. There are no huge sets. Ironman fights on a street then a roof. Same with hulk. Oh they also both had fights in a park, IM in the sequel. And Thor, why did that have to take place in some crumb town in new mexico which looked like they built three fake buildings on each side of the street to pass as a town. Can you imagine if the destroyer was walking down the streets of a big city tossing cars left and right.

Marvel needs to open up them disney wallets. I want an epic battle in multiple locations, in big cities with things getting destroyed. I want shield helicarriers going down in the background

Right on!

A couple of skirmishes between the heroes, Thor vs Hulk and Loki getting defeated again isn't going to cut it in this one.

Kevin Feige already commented on how big and epic the Transformers trailer looked, they need Micheal Bay to come out and say the same thing next year.

idk who came up with the phrase Go Big or Go Home, but I'll be damned if it doesn't apply to this movie.

It's Thor vs Loki in a one on one fight, it played out pretty much how a Thor vs Loki fight should play out.

It wasn't poor at all, it was accurate, now the Destroyer fight is the one that should've had Thor and the Destroyer going through buildings and such.

but All i m saying is it could have been better like when Loki makes multiple copies of himself they could have made it real interesting

The fight wasn't poor at all, but I thought a lot of the shots were poorly chosen. Like the one where Loki [blackout]sneaks up and gets Thor with the staff after he goes for the duplicate. It's fine for when he sneaks up, but I feel like they should have shot more coverage and had just a brief shot even of him pushing it into his armor, the effect of which is only shown afterward on the armor.[/blackout] Tough to articulate for me, does that make sense?

Yeah it could've been a bit flashier, I was expecting Loki to use alot more magic attacks but I'm satisfied with what we got.

Yes, Avengers has to be epic like Transformers, or on the scale of Independence Day with cities and landmarks being destroyed. I think some of that has been toned down though since 9/11. Damn terrorists ruining fantasy destruction for us! :cmad:

With the amount of heroes in the avengers movie, i'd say it's a safe bet to see a back to back fight scene kinda like lotr where the heroes are huddled and surrounded by enemies and also a scene where they will split off in a couple of smaller teams and hit up multiple battles at once which will make the overall scene seem like it spans across an entire city. Like if ironman and hawkeye are battling on the helicarrier and in the backround you see (through a window) hulk and thor blowing **** up and explosions....cut to thor and hulk fighting and over their shoulder you see the helicarrier going down and ironman and hawkeye burst out the side as its exploding. I dunno that sounds like a grand battle to me. I can't wait for this!!!!!

The small town served the story well for Thor to gain humility. Imagine if this happened in NY. The impact would have not meant as much as it did.

I felt the exact same way after watching Thor, I'm one of the few people who are glad that they decided to go with the small town instead of a big city.

See I found that to be the weakest part of the story anyway. He was there for like a couple of days, what exactly caused him to gain humility? As far as I can tell it was not being able to pick up his hammer. It wasn't like he became a part of the town and really grew to love and understand them. He only knew three of them. That all could easily of went down in an apartment rather then a trailer. If they had made it seem like he had been there for like a year and gotten to know people I would 100% agree with you.

Believing that his father had died as result of his actions, along with War looming on Asgard (again as a result of his actions) and his mother having supposedly abandoned him and not wanting him to return home can also have a PROFOUND effect on a person.

Okay those those were some big factors too, but honestly I thought he didn't react strongly enough to those things. I really thought the movie would have been well served had it jumped about a year ahead after he found that out. To give him time to be humbled not to mention have relationship with Jane grow.

But even so you help my point none of the things that humbled him had anything to do with him living in a small town in new mexico. All of that stuff would have hurt just as much had he been living in New York

In a recent Avengers comic, All the Avengers are about to face a threat. Thor flies into battle and smashes a big powerhouse character through a building across town, and Spider-Man acts like WOW!
And someone tells him, thats what its like to be on a team with Thor!
A scene like that, showing the sheer power of Thor, amazing all the Avengers, would be awesome.
There is a massive threat, like the Hulk, we have already scene the unspotable power of the Hulk as he has destroyed buildings, stopped tanks, stood up to missiles, stuff like that. The Avengers stand ready to fight, Thor leaps into battle and wallups Hulk across town with such a force. All the other Avengers stand there stunned. Something like that would be cool.

Thor showing great respect for Captain America, that would be cool.

Maybe showing Cap worthy enough to pick up the hammer after its knocked from Thor's hands. He doesn't become Thor or anything, just able to hold the hammer and maybe use it to save Thor and then gives it back to him or something.

Tony Stark's inability to wrap his head around Thor, like in the Avengers pages from the Scott Kolins comic.

Sounds great, I'd love to see Thor send a powerhouse character flying across town in the film, which comic was that?

I think Thor showing Cap respect is enough, I don't wanna see Cap pick up Mjolnir in live action but if he does I'd prefer for it to happen in Avengers 2 or 3.

It would also be cool to see Thor show forth other powers like Anti-force or GodBlast

If they do show Thor in Asgard in The Avengers, are we also likely to see either Odin or Heimdall too? It's unlikely that he'll just be shown by himself if they do have any Asgard scenes.

I'd love to see Heimdall watching earth and telling Thor what is going on, especially if he spies Loki in full destructo mode.

Oh hell yeah, I'd love to see one of those used in the final battle and the other saved for one of Thor's sequel's or Avengers 2.

he learned from a few saved a small town and wanted to save an entire planet at the end too...from small to big... alot of people try to explain you things...we dont listen even if its our parents but someone else you meet and start to love can teach you to appreciate what you already have....

the weakest part for me was the traveling from planet to planet ...they went there for nothing...just for a talk...wow ...dont they have cellphones?

^^^ Really? I enjoyed the planet traveling and I don't think cell phones reach that far, they were in seperate dimensions after all.
