Wonder Woman Rotten Tomatoes Prediction Thread - Part 1

Yeah. With probably 2/3 of the reviews in, it's probably not going anywhere unless there is a group of people who see things significantly different out there and haven't weighed in. It's "possible" that's the case because it's really just opening today, but I think that's a very, very slim possibility.

I'm very pleased and can't wait to see it.

I am starting to think the movie is going to finish at a 93 now. The movie is at 93.48% after 230 reviews with 215 fresh and 15 rotten. For the movie to be at 92% it would have to have had 212 fresh at this point instead of those 215. Point being it has a 3 fresh more then it would need to be at for it to be at a 92 at this point in time. Can it be 94 though? Right now it is at 94 it says even though it is at 93.48. If the next review is fresh it would then be 93.5 witch would round it up to 94.

Eh, it's just more Guardians. It's not truly special like Wonder Woman or Logan. Guardians 1 perhaps.

Okay so we got two superhero movies that resonate well in Logan and WW. I think these two superhero movies should be the new standard for future superhero movies.

The interesting thing is when you look at the like 11 superhero movies that are at 90+ counting WW they are happing more often now. 2 of them this year in WW and logan this year, 2 last year in doctor strange and Captain America civil war, 2 in 2014 in Xmen DOFP, GOTG. So point being out of those 11 6 have happened in just the last 3-4 years and on top of that other ones that are close to 90 like Captain America winter solider and its 89 and yet people complain about to many Superhero movies even though the quality of them is getting better the last few years. Yes there are some that have not been good but that is like any type of movie.

True, but there are also more CBMs released every year now. There was no MCU or DCEU back then for a start.

I don't think that's how Rotten Tomatoes works though. The only way you can actually guess an RT rating is if you have Cerebro and can tap into every critics head. The RT score has more to do with likability than quality. The 7.6 average rating suggests that while the movie isn't flawless- something which would garner ratings of around 8- it's immensely likable to the general critic.

Wow, WB and DC desperately needed a critical hit. This goodwill will hopefully carry over to the other solo films and JL.

In truth, I'm looking forward to more WW films than the Justice League. I also want a MOS sequel as well.

Nice to see WW scoring a bit higher.

Now, this is amazing, not only percentage score is high, the average rating is also holding up nicely, even after 234 reviews in. Also, it looks like almost All Top Critics have already voted now, and just 3 rotten out of 46 Top Critics.

It's a great movie period. It would be a great movie even with the superhero element removed. In ranking it with other superhero movies, it is one of the best superhero movies and most who have seen it agree. What is there to be shocked about?

How many more fresh reviews does it need to go 95? Would be totally awesome if the first female led superhero film gets the highest score on RT in CBM, and probably most other female led films in general.

That pressure on Cap Marvel now is real.

That's not how it works though. Did you like it or not? That's how it works with the RT score. The critics either liked it or they didn't. To score middle of the pack half would have to have liked it and the other half didn't like it.
