This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]346686[/split]
What was wrong with Silk Spectre's costume? The choice of material is what kills it for me. It looks too plastic.
The good thing is it's better than Halle Berry's Catwoman costume, Elektra's and Silk Spectre's costumes.
The bad part is it's nowhere as convincing as ScarJo's Black Widow or Milla's Ultraviolet getup. :
It's far worse than those examples. And this is TV, remember.People also didn´t like the look of the Batman costumes in Begins when they saw it in front of a white background, they said the color was wrong, looked too much like the sonar suit in BF, than in the movie it didn´t look like in that pic,and said the same about the TDK suit, in the pic they said he looked too robotic, and in the movie he didn´t. When people saw the first pics of Iron Man for IM2 and Thor they also said they looked too plastic, and they looked fine in the movies. I´ll wait to see it in action, with proper lighting and cinematography. It´s really Palicki I´m not happy about.

As for the TDK suit not looking robotic on film... your mileage may vary on that one.
Yeah, when it was in the dark and I couldnt see it, it didn't look robotic.Mayne only brighter scenes where you saw all of it, but most were darker, and in movement he definitely didn´t look robotic.
Don't buy that for a second, she'd look 100 times better in muted, matted colours, the Superman fans can complain all they want, Routh's costume looked 10 times that Reeve's costume.

For those who said WW shouldn't look so skinny, this is how I imagine the person would look. She would clearly have muscle, but not to the point of looking like a body builder or anything like that.

You can compare the two suits. I'm sure ppl didn't like the begins suit at frost but it's no where near this level. Whether she's on action or not the point Is it's a bad suit. It looks completely amature and fake.tv show or not, they can make a better suit. This looks like they just went to a costume shop and bought a simple latex suit and put some terrible plastic plates on it.
Oh and that body is exactly how WW should look. Athletic with broader shoulders but not manly.
???I don´t see how she´s athletic. Her arms and legs don´t seem to have any muscle on them whatsoever, they´re twigs.
???
The girl is clearly fit. Female athletes aren't going to look as big or toned as their male counterparts, nor should they. I know what twigs and non-athletic limbs on females look like. That woman displays none of it. The first and last pics are especially good examples. Females don't naturally look like that without putting in work.
I have no idea what you're looking at.
They are so far from that now it isn't even funny. To think that Kelley and the rest gave so little thought to her physique boggles the mind. Is it too late for them to make a change?
Anyhow, WW is a WARRIOR princess. Plenty of good-looking girls out there in Hollyweird. Not many who are beautiful and athlete (like a warrior) are given the spot light. Gotta have those Size 0 figures and whatnot.
There may be a misunderstanding here. My athletic remarks were in regards to the unnamed girl above (as batboy99 was indicating), not Palicki. I will agree that the latter is not at all how I'd like Diana to look.
Well, it is Hollywood. How often do they ever give us women that look like they could really physically do what they do? Pretty much, it boils down what I said in the previous thread.
It's interesting that the expectation of male superheroes is that they have muscle, but we can't get the same thing for the females.
