The Dark Knight Rises Worst character of the trilogy?

I didn't care for Thalia as a villain, or even when she was Miranda, but i will admit she at least had a point being in the movie. The congressman, Jen (Selina's roommate or bisexual friend), and i guess Foley really had no point being in the trilogy. The Chetchen was at least pretty funny, and Daggett was a world class *****ebag, but had a great and distrubringly funny death scene, lol.

The annoying little twerp the Joffery actor plays in BB.

"Its really you isnt it?" to a six foot, black clad man wearing a bat suit and cape.

"NO I'M ****ING SPIDER-MAN DIP****!!"

Rachel should have tasered him instead of Scarecrow.

What's everyone's problem with Foley? I didn't there was anything wrong with the character.

Foley - "Get this hot head out of here", "I'm going to do what Jim Gordon never could. I'm going to take down the Batman". Foley was an irritating presence. I never got any chemistry between him and Gordon. I never believed for a minute they spent years together on the streets working together. Gordon had more chemistry with Stephens in TDK than he did with this character. When he died and the camera zoomed in on his body I rolled my eyes as if we are supposed to care this guy is dead.

Talia - Her character as Tate was as bland as you can get. She made Rachel Dawes seem interesting because at least she had a childhood connection with Bruce. Then she's revealed as Talia, hops into a Tumbler and gets killed, giving one of the worst death acting scenes in cinema history. I truly feel TDKR would be improved if Cottiard's character had been excised altogether. Anne Hathaway gave us all we need in terms of a great female presence.

Rachel (Katie Holmes) - Spends the whole movie putting Bruce down. Can't even bring him a birthday gift without having a dig at him ("You enjoy your party, Bruce. Some of us have work to do"). She was also a really poor actress overall in Begins.

Annoying extras - Namely the W.E. tech "It's gonna blow" x 500 guy in BB, and the annoying SWAT Cop in the truck with Gordon in TDK.

agree with all this.

Yeah I was about to say I agree with The Joker too. Although I dislike Tate for other reason than Joker did

I like this post, it,s very detailed. And of course I'm picking Rachel. I absolutely hated her constant speeches to Bruce. The Scarecrow is a close second. Never liked the writing or performance for the character.

Rachel Dawes. I like the idea of the character--Bruce's confidant and childhood friend who was "the one who got away" because Batman got between them until the Joker killed her--but the execution was contrived in both films and variations.

Well either her or Ken Wantanabe as fake Ra's Al Ghul. He is literally there to trick Bruce and the audience and nothing more.

Ramirez. I found her really annoying and I was hoping Two-Face would put a bullet in her head. I was very disappointed when the coin came up the other way.

Don't forget the extras in Harvey's press conference. Some of the worst acting ever. Pretty much ruined that scene, which is a shame since Eckhart did a good job with his part of it.

Those thugs who rob the bank with the Joker at the beginning of The Dark Knight. They just acted like typical mob stereotypes; so much so that it almost sounded like one guy was doing the voices for all of them.

Glad they all got killed.

And the first prize goes to Rachel Dawes and actor switch. Absolutely unconvincing nor as a lawyer, nor as a love interest. And I HATE when they change actors. I just can't bear it.

Audience prize goes to Miranda Tate. I didn't think anything bad about Miranda/Talia until that death scene. Damn. What a waste. I didn't expect this from Nolan.

I don't want to point minor roles, like those cops in the tunnel in TDK or any other, they don't bother me that much.

Yeah, if we're talking only major characters, Rachel has to take the cake. She sucked in BB (mostly just because she was played by Katie Holmes) and in TDK she just comes off like an ungrateful b**** the whole time. You just want to pull Bruce aside and scream at him, "Get over her, dude! You can do so much better!"

I'm going for Talia- this is because she was supposed to be such a significant character and presence, and there was just nothing. The scarce writing of Talia was compounded by Cotillard's terrible acting performance(I have not seen one decent performance since her brilliant Edith Piaf role- so she CAN act, just not in Hollywood films it seems). It was an awful piece of writing and plotting by the Nolan's. Even if we know she is Talia beforehand, there should still be a pull. Utterly bland.

Second is Foley. He is probably the most pointless character of the trilogy. He serves absolutely no purpose. Who is he and what the hell is he doing clogging up the screentime? His death was pathetic, if only because he was such an irrelevant, under-written character.

I would like to give Rachel a special mention too. Regardless of the actress(both poor performances) player her, I saw NO reason why Bruce held her as the love of his life. Ok, so she represented the one remaining link to his past innocence, but she was whiny, condescending and full of s**t.

I don't think Foley is a bad character. He's pretty small, we see him as a careerist, new face of the police force, but things change and I even enjoyed seeing him charge against LOS. I'm not sure why they cut his death, where he gets hit by Talia's Tumbler.

Hands down it was Reese, baby faced little ****er.
Tiny little hands too that I laugh at every time he pushes the documents forward on Fox's desk.

I thought Foley was pretty annoying...

They never bothered me at all. In fact "No moar dead Cops" guy is kind of a legend on some forums. The others were fine.

Rachel and Talia. Romance isn't Chris Nolan's greatest selling point.

Too violent man. My brother was asking why it was cut the way it was and I thought it was pretty self-explanatory. While the movie did have a lot of gun violence, showing him directly getting hit by (what I'm assuming is) a .50 Cal type of weapon mount on the Tumbler ain't gonna cut it. Heh. They could have worked some camera magic but I'm not surprised they didn't show any of the gunfire hitting him. I think the fact that he was dead instantly on the ground makes it seem awkward, not to mention his pose.
