I think there is some justification to those critiquing this gig for Snyder, for the same reason people critique Guy Ritchie continuing to land big budget jobs. White men in Hollywood never cease to fall up, while someone like Ava DuVernay makes one bomb and people are shocked she manages to land another job.

The director attached BEFORE Snyder said there was material about zombie raping in the original script. The article notes that said material has now been scrubbed from the script and now Snyder is taking over.

So... Stuff he didn't write or originate was in an old script.

How does this prove anything of what you are saying NOW or then?

All that says is the film they are making is going to be based on a story by Snyder. That quote doesnt say when he wrote that story, if that story involves zombie rape, nor does it prove your conspiracy theory about Snyder. You're assuming a lot.

Honestly, if I were Emma Thomas, I would find this rather troubling. Like, I wonder if she ever brought this up in a dinner conversation - "hey Chris, have you ever noticed that the wife is dead in all your movies? What's up with that?" How awkward.

I think Whedon's is mostly justifiable.

Pepper was relaxing with Tony. Lots of women go barefoot a lot and Whedon doesnt focus on her bare feet.

River's barefootedness and the way its presented gives her a nimble and quirky quality. Especially in that robbery scene in Serenity. The camera deliberately focuses on the way shes gracefully stepping over and around the hostages. Being able to see the roll and delicate movements of her feet added to it. And her being barefoot during a robbery when every one else is loaded for bear is totally something River would do.

Kaylee being barefoot in the engine room after being injured makes sense but they definitely stand out and could have been covered. I remember Whedon and Jewel Straite actually joking about how big her feet look in the shot.

Tarantino on the other hand he seems to be a full blown foot fetishist. He likes to get the camera all up close to feet whether it is necessary or not. And he made a dang shoe the thing that got a main character killed and nearly ruined the heroes plan in Inglorious Bastards. He loves him some feet.

If RDJ wasnt so self conscious about it the MCU could poke fun at it. Have Jarvis ask him of he wants the Iron Man suit to include a height increase feature. Or even better ask Lang if he can borrow his giant man tech. My own head canon is the Avengers can all see Tony's high heel shoes and make jokes about it behind his back.
