WW Composer Thread

As for McCreary, didn't he work on music for "DaVinci's Demons"? Probably the only thing that's good with that show. :hehe:

I know about him through Battlestar Galactica.

Didn't know this. I like his work with the show.

His BSG scores are masterpieces, imo. He also does The Walking Dead, Outlander and Black Sails. I keep hoping he'll follow Michael Giacchino's footsteps and make the jump from TV to movies, but he's certainly doing just fine for himself on TV.

McCreary isn't averse to scoring movies, but he's getting so much TV work he doesn't get much room elsewhere.

Although I think if WB and Patty offered him WW, he'd make room in his schedule. His score for the short-lived "Cape" series was fun, in pure Elfman and Shirley Walker mode. I would imagine his WW score would be in the vein of that, but more ethereal and majestic.

Damn. I was hoping for someone new and not Zimmer/Junkie again.

So I guess Suicide Squad will be the only movie that won't be scored by Junkie or Hans.

Not necessarily. James Wan, for the most part, seems to have a set composer in Joseph Bishara, so I wouldn't be surprised if Aquaman goes that way. Patty hasn't really done enough films to have a go-to guy, so going with Zimmer/Junkie XL, who both have worked on BVS and a number of other WB films, isn't terribly surprising.

That actually sounds pretty good.

Where does it say that he's been confirmed?

All that link says is him saying how awesome the footage was.

He is saying WELCOME and mentioning his other works involving female characters...

Eh, ill accept it then, im a sucker for Junkie music thanks to Mad Max. :hmr:

I am wondering now if the JXL and Zimmer team aren't doing work on all the characters so that the theme in JL is a mix of all the solo themes? I mean, Wan has his own composer but with AM being in BvS, then Zimmer and JXL will have likely done some kind of music for him too.

Aquaman will be in both BvS and Justice League Part One first before his film.

Im sure that they'll use what's already set for the Aquaman film.

I hope the character themes set by Zimmer and Junkie aren't butchered later on. Junkie working on WW solo is more than great since he has the best idea of how and what Zimmer would go about iterating if he were composing.

Little disappointed if true. I was hoping for someone like Howard Shore for more adventure and magical sound. Hope Junkie does well, though. Wonder Woman needs something special for her music, not just some banging drums.

Every major DC hero needs that: Aquaman, The Flash, Green Lantern... and eventuelly Hawkman (if he ever gets his own)

Maybe some people were looking at that post a different way but I didn't see comfirmation that he was scoring Wonder Woman.

And on this faithful day, Lord Junkie schooled every news site spreading this rumour.

Told y'all! :oldrazz:

He never said he was scoring Wonder Woman!

Even with the early footage Junkie XL would be a weird match to that material.

Agreed, didn't see anything on that post saying he was scoring Wonder Woman.
