Disappointing numbers, but not necessarily numbers that'll make you go into panic mode (unless you're a few select posters here). I think what Fox ultimately needs is to be patient when dealing with these superhero things, especially as they try to expand their cinematic universe. They gotta string together hits and not try and put all their eggs into one basket with the X-Men, so rebooting won't help, that'll just reset the string of hits they had prior to this film (which may come in under compared to DOFP, but not necessarily fail in terms of turning a profit). I think the flagship series does need to stop being retrograde and new creative blood, but not through a reboot of the entire universe.
Wolverine III is probably a lower budget than its predecessor thanks to its R rating, if they go lower budget with everything until they're ready to blow their load with a big team up film, that's fine by me. They need multiple, consecutive hits for their cinematic universe anyhow.
