Although I would kill for having Ellen Page and Anna Paquin in their roles back...Ellen Page as Kitty Pryde was one of the best castings in the series for me. Unfortunately she never got the chance to develop the character...

Agreed. These two are the only ones I would love to see again honestly (apart from Jackman and Stewart which is happening anyway). Mostly because they had way more potential than was shown. I wish they'd show up in Wolverine 3, but alas...

I don't take any joy in saying the original cast is likely done with whatever final wolverine film is called unlike some who may say original cast was terrable.I don't fault those who would like to see original cast back but it's not realistic hope.

I hated last stand but ellen Page was great casting as kitty as was Kelsey Grammer as Beast.Thankfully with DOFP they were able to be part of good X-Men film.

if any original cast shows up in cameos in final wolverine it's likely to be Famke Janssen and anna paquin.Kitty doesn't have much history with wolverine in films.in films that relationship was given to rogue.

Cyclops, Bobby and Colossus in the OT didn't have great roles, but I didn't particularly take to any of those actors (Bobby was written so differently too that I didn't care for him). I don't really have anything against them, and wouldn't be opposed to seeing them again, but I wouldn't be excited either.

As far as everyone else, I thought they were mostly great, but I was also satisfied. Nightcrawler for example was more or less perfect in X2, it was a shame he didn't show up again, but he also didn't need to. Kelsey Grammar's Beast I feel the same way.

Whereas, Rogue and Kitty don't have counterparts in the FC trilogy, and they are two of my favorite comic characters who aren't likely to return anytime soon in any capacity.

I found it disappointing both Kitty and Rogue had nothing to do in Dofp. Kitty didn't need to get sent back, but I wanted to see them both battle the Sentinels alongside their teammates, not be stuck in a chair - one of the few blemishes of the movie for me.

But yeah, Rogue being in Wolverine 3 would make sense. Kitty is probably too much of a stretch

Psy has totally turned on X-men since storm,psylocke,and jubilee weren't focus of apocalypse..keep claiming apocalypse and any sequel would be prequels is getting anoying.they may be set in years that happened before years of original films but they don't led into original films.he has joined the give marvel X-men crowd.

Honestly, I believe that a lot of the attempts to make this movie more like the comics in different areas is actually what hurt it over all.

There were parts I thought were awesome (like the ending) that a lot of non-comic-fans I know just thought were almost embarrassingly cheesy.

If they make it even more "comic-booky" I think it really will be the death knell of the franchise.

(Also, the whole "X-Men in space" thing even at the time was clearly a cheap cash-in on the popularity of Star Wars).

Yeah they should avoid it. And not to mention, it would cost more money.

And I see, the poster (GS) who is in my block list keeps quoting my posts when I told him a millions times of stop doing it and was already told by a mod to stop doing it. Well keep trolling if you want, I'd just hit the report button again. And me having "X-Men in Space" in my sig when I got like 8 to 9 X-Men movie ideas at that time, was something I had in mind at that time. Didn't know I could change what I want to see/happen and only for people to criticize it when I said I'm not a fan of X-Men space stories? And I'm explaining myself again. Geez.

As much as I would love to see a Phoenix Saga done correctly, I think it's a mistake to do that next. For purposes of telling the story and letting it build up and breath, rushing it will kill impact.

Of the original cast, she's the one that would make the most sense bringing back. She's a great actress and I just hope they wouldn't waste her as in her previous two appearances.

I'd love to see her as the main character in New Mutants as a teacher/mentor, similar to her role in the comics in recent years.

Because if not, I can see them placing New Mutants in present day to connect with Deadpool. And Ellen Page could show up there as Kitty.

Kinberg confirmed that Charles would appear and Boone's RT'ing of trade sites seems to be indicating that it is true and it'll be in the past. Unfortunate, because I would love for Ellen to get another shot at an X-Men film now that things are fixed. (Not to mention you have an Oscar nominated actress playing arguably one of the most popular X-Men characters of all time)

NM could help with the decade jumping though. Could give us films set in between the decade jumps of the flagship films.

Pretty much, out of everyone he sounds like the most likely too appear from the sound of it so i dunno why everyone is talking about anyone else appearing, i don't think new mutants story structure wise will end up being how people are picturing it in their heads tbh.

Plus ts probably gonna be in the 80s or 90s as we have probably heard more to suggest that being the case.

Its not been confirmed but Hitfix did mention his name when they mentioned the casting for Anya Taylor-Joy and maisy williams who were both followed by josh boone on twitter soon after which made the report sound like it may be true.

Although mcavoy said he has no idea if he was in the movie he did say he was told by another actress who may or may not be attached to new mutants that he is apparently in it.

Either way xavier is gonna be in it for sure

I feel like they should set it in the present day. I don't want to see Prof X training students again especially not the James McAvoy version (who was more interested flirting with Moira but whatever), well okay he should train Storm, Jean, Cyke, Kurt... but Cannonball, Magik and the gang.... give it to someone else. We had too much Prof X at this point. Give it someone else that isn't Magneto or Mystique. I liked Professor Kitty in All New X-Men and I want to see an older Cyclops train mutants.

I know a lot of us were questioning the release date for the film. This article is about the Fourth of July, but it probably applies to Memorial Day weekend as well:

The reason why Tarzan and BFG were booked at theaters this weekend is pretty simple. These films are so expensive, that in order to get as much of their cash back, they needed to launch at a time when there would definitely be a massive amount of people available at the multiplex. Yes, Captain America: Civil War, Finding Dory or Star Trek Beyond could have launched here, but those titles are strong enough to open on a three-day weekend. Tarzan and BFG are not, and there’s an attempt to mitigate risk with a holiday debut.

I'm from the Twin Cities area, and with the new releases of Tarzan and BFG, X-Men: Apocalypse has completely left from the 3 out of the 4 AMCs close to me in the city and suburbs, and the one it's in is only has one scheduled time. I figure it will be at the dollar theaters soon by me, probably roughly the same time as Civil War appears.
