Apocalypse X-Men Apocalypse News and Discussion - Part 1

Well Ignoring the script image that was released that shows the prologue or opening of the film for the moment I don't think Patrick will give a narration for apocalypse because if he is in the movie it's bound to be a very small role and unless he is doing the narration like he is telling the story it would seem very out of place

if they have a narration for apocalypse it could very well be mcavoy since DOFP ended with his narration leading to the next film

Well based on the script image My bet would be If any original cast members besides Hugh jackman appears it would be at end of Apocalypse.

If saw as script image hinted at and Apocalypse starts In ancient egypt it's defently possble for narration over that leading to door closing and when it opens It's 1983.While it would be great for that to be Patrick Stewart doing that if there Is ending In "Future" odds are James Mcavoy would do narration at begining of film.

Ideally I would want to have McAvoy do the closing narration to mirror Stewart's opening narration from the first X-Men film, bringing the prequel trilogy full circle. Then we can have some cliff hanger, hinting at some potential plot that'll be tackled with the new trilogy.

Since we are in "New Timeline" remains to be seen how much they want to mirror anything in original trilogy.

There may not be a cliffhanger.Kinberg has hinted that at core the FC trilogy Is "Origin" of Xavier,Magneto, and Mystique.I think they would want to end trilogy establishing staus quo that can be devolped later

DOFP Is somewhat of a reboot due to time travel.

The trilogy both Is and isn't connected to films going forward. The trilogy leads up to time travel of DOFP.First Class despite some errors Is still prequel to Trilogy. But,now they can dismiss going forward anything they want that happened In trilogy but at same time characters become versions played by OT cast we saw at end of DOFP except for Magneto and Mystique.

Reboot or what, we saw the original cast together in the new timeline. So the audience's memories of seeing X1/X2/X3 won't go away when they see the faces of the OT cast in that new timeline in DOFP.

Comic Book Movie recently interviewed Dennis Haysbert and Haysbert was asked if there was any comic villain he would love to play and he said Apocalypse.

Fox, Singer.

People don't have to die to make a good film. It's a classic film-making flaw

I agree, unless Age of a Apocalypse is a major source for the plot. If not, just go with some original story that draws inspiration from different places, but I'd personally love to see a faithful adaptation of that.

There is still much to tell with this trilogy, so the film is going to get my money no matter what, based on my curiosity and fandom. But I don't have a huge interest in perpetually seeing prequels to the alternate timeline ending in DOFP. From a business standpoint I don't think it is viable, because I don't believe the new cast they bring in will have have a big enough following to carry a new trilogy by themselves without JLaw and Fassebender. So I'd expect them to follow through with rumored spinoffs like Deadpool, Gambit, and Wolverine 3, before bigger and more expensive X-films.

I want Apocalypse to have impact and major ramifications, and I believe drawing from AoA is a damn good approach.

Hmmm. I can see it.

If he doesn't get the apocalypse gig I guess Im rooting for him to gwt Darkseid.

They probally would have to go CGI to make that happen but that would be great choice.

Ayone with twitter to write this should be the right choice?
Do it!

Dennis Haybert is surely a great candidate for Apocalypse.

It´s curious he mentioned Apocalypse. Maybe because he knows the movie is in development and just trying to snatch the job? OR Fox already contacted him? He mostly do work for Fox, so he is well stablished within the studios.

At least he can pull a better job than the Rock. And don´t get me wrong, I like the Rock, but the gravitas that Apocalypse needs... I don´t think the Rock will pull it off. It is not a mwa-ha-ha villain.

Palmer for Apocalypse? I vote yes :woot:

I am just catching up on old 24, Palmer would be great. Only thing is, his skin color is very different from the young Apocalypse we saw at the end of DOFP...

Exactly, skin was gray, this or other way Haybert's skin would be gray too.

Well yes... It was grey...

Apocalypse is one Egyptian where the producers won't be accused of whitewashing.
