You guys missed a picture.

I thought they wouldn't go back to the mansion after Alkali Lake... but it seems they do... but isn't this destroyed by then?

I am confused!:woo:

I assume that most of the basement is still intact.

There's definitely more a resemblance to Cox's X2 Stryker for Helman than in DoFP. I could see Stryker eventually age to that now

Agreed!

Me too. I'm so scared that they'll give her Annie Richardson storyline to active Jean's power :cmad:
[BLACKOUT]That would be repetitive, they're doing the same with Cyclops[/BLACKOUT]

Those eyes. :atp:

If I had a teacher who looked like that, I wouldn't be able to concentrate in class because I'd be constantly swooning over how dreamy he is, especially when there are semi-transparent "stripes" on his shirt (which is in the other photo). In real life, I'm pretty sure that shirt would be considered inappropriate for an instructor to wear at school.

Quote from Empire

In a sequence revolving around Mystique, Beast, Quicksilver, and Moira MacTaggert, the magazine describes the scene as follows: "The quartet have been kidnapped by army twonk William Stryker following a cataclysmic event at the X-Mansion, and wake up in a holding cell. On a balcony above them, Stryker taunts his prisoners, demanding to know the whereabouts of Magneto." That's pretty intriguing then, and when director Bryan Singer was asked how Wolverine factors into all of this, he replied: "As a central character, he didn't fit into this particular story."

Man, i think i know to much about the plot. Shame on me :(

Hmmm... what does Stryker want with Magneto?

It seems there's more to this movie than I thought. I thought they wouldn't go back to the mansion after Alkali Lake... but it seems they do... but isn't this destroyed by then?

This lends credence to the idea that there's another final battle against Apocalypse, maybe this one in their comic outfits. Unless Jean is having a vision of going back to the sub basement while they're in Egypt (hence the battle wear). But they definitely don't get those costumes until AFTER the mansion is destroyed and they go to Alkali.

I know it's a long shot, since the possibility of another battle would have probably leaked by now, but it would make sense for there to be two major skirmishes. The mansion blows up, some of them are captured by Stryker and the remaining members suit up to go to Alkali Lake and from there, to Egypt, where they face the Horsemen. This much we know for a fact.

But notice that we haven't seen any X-Men actually fighting Apocalypse, as Oscar Issac said we'd see, since it's "everyone" against him. I'd imagine the first time, the team just fights the Horsemen, then they leave, re-group and with the Horsemen disbanded, they return to just take on Apocalypse. And c'mon, it's not like we're not going to see Magneto and Storm (at least) turn against 'Poccy.

Honestly, the more you think about it, the more sense it makes that the fight against the Horsemen and the fight against Apocalypse are not in the same skirmish. That would also speak to the power of all villains involved, that the Horsemen are almost like a gauntlet that much be faced before the big man himself.

Bryan singer on the future of the franchise

Talk then turned to the future of the franchise, and with Singer setting his sights on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, he's moving on from the X-Men for the time being. "Abondoning the franchise is not something I think about. But I could not roll into another X-Men movie tomorrow. And I hope not to. I hope to take a break." If and when he does return though, where do you go after Apocalypse? Mr. Sinister? Onslaught? "I'd love to use Proteus somehow," the filmmaker teased. "There's a lot visually you could do with a character like that." An unexpected choice, but one with potential

What the ****? Proteus? That's one of the last things I'd expect Singer to say. Pleasantly surprised.

logically it wouldn't make sense to have the X-Men fight the horseman with no purpose and then retreat just to find apocalypse sometime later

if anything the horseman are likely to be protecting apocalypse at an important crucial time that the x-men are trying to stop, if it was a video game the horseman would be level 1 and apocalypse would be level 2

Singer didn't actully say wolverine doesn't make an apperance he just said he's
not centrel character so he could still cameo.

Kind of intresting singer didn't try to force wolverine into story with jackman leaving franchise after untitled wolverine film.

I think they're keeping the footage of the X-Men vs. Apocalypse fight to themselves... which they should.

However I also think it's possible Apocalypse retreats to his pyramid (where he's keeping Charles) when his horsemen are defeated.

I don't see them retreating and then coming back for him. That sounds anticlimatic.

Do we know how the oft-repeated shot of the bridge being destroyed by a storm fit into the plot? That's clearly not Cairo.

Or is that just part of Jean's visions?

nah i think the more colorful outfits are for the ending.pretty sure the big showdown is in egypt with armored outfits.

Its worth remembering that its likely what apocalypse wants to do is gonna destroy everything, not just cairo, he is gonna try and wipe the world clean so that shot its probably one of several shots of the world grumbling.

i am assuming we may see landmarks being destroyed also.

I think it's part of the climax, Apocalypse is doing something to "cleanse the earth" and it takes a toll on major cities. But I could be wrong.

Bryan singer on the future of the franchise

it pretty much says he will be producing not directing next X-Men team film inless fox waits for him to finish 20,000 leagues under the sea for them first
and does spin-off films till next X-Men film

very intresting he says proteus and not his version of phoenix/dark phoenix.

In trailer you could see in moira's office pics of her with a boy.

pretty sure apocalypse will be causing worldwide damage from egypt.possible he enchances storm's powers so she can cause destrucon with weather all
over the globe.

that doesn't mean he won't use phoenix but in all fairness he may not want to just do another X3 type movie with those similar beats, if you are gonna do it again then do it differently

When is 20,000 leagues being released?
