I don't think it matter at all to connect Apocalypse to the OT. Outside of this forum (even the majority of this site) everyone hates X-Men lets not be tied down by that horrible continuity.

not everybody hates X-Men films.that's crazy.especilly if you adjust for inflantion box office for first three X-men films.

It just remains baffling why Singer and others after creation of new timeline in DOFP or those films being erased are trying to make connection with them & Apocalypse.

Huh wait whuh huh? I'm speechless. XD

You guys don't get tired of every site or video treating the X-Men franchise as an afterthought and it's just Fox-Men?

X-Men are the best Marvel characters besides Spider-Man and they get zero respect because of these movies. I love X-Men but I don't want to be tied down to the OT going forward anymore that's just my opinion. I'll obviously see them all opening weekend anyway so who cares what I think.

After apocalypse i doubt they will be tied down to the OT but at the same time they may be tied down abit to the future ending of DOFP

Everybody hated X-Men?... good Lord, how come they managed to make it this far without starting from scratch.

I'm not trying to be offensive to anyone. You know in sports if you think your team is doing bad, and you can get upset with them but their still your favorite team no matter what?

That's kinda how I feel about X-Men movies. Idk

To you, but not everybody else like what you were implying because if thats the case, X2/X3 wouldn't even earn $200 million in America and led to spin-off films if "everybody" hated the X-Men since the first film was released. Okay lets move on.

Hmmm I think it depends on what type of sites you frequent. Geek pop culture websites obviously have a huge comic book fanbase so a lot of them will never be satisfied with Fox-Men. And a lot of the bashing come from the comments, the videos and articles from these websites themselves tend to be pretty objective. In fact, many of them seem to recall X1 and X2 pretty fondly.

Beyond the Internet though, the X-Men is not hated. Not at all. XD The box office of DOFP says as much. And I've yet to meet a single person in real life who thinks Fox-Men is the shadow of the MCU. (In fact, many of them tend to think that they're both by the same company).

So nothing to worry about I think! It only gets annoying for me when people bash Fox-Men with the worn out statements such as IVAN OOZE! MYSTIQUE MUST DIE! without a well thought out argument supporting those statements, or when they display an ignorance of the film making process behind these movies and even the comic books themselves and make hasty prejudgments.

the fact they basicly erased the original films with dofp and no wolverine in Apocalypse
and they still hate on X-Men.inless fox gives up x-men to marvel, which isn't happening, they will continue to hate on X-Men.

Maybe our "team" is not doing as well as the others in terms of box office, but in terms of critical acclaim it most certainly is.

Besides, people who hate these movies will continue to hate them no matter how good or comic-accurate they are because they're FOX, so I've just decided not to frequent sites where that is the majority's opinion.

April's Fool Day is over for me in 5 minutes. I wonder if Bryan Singer is still doing one.

He will announce X-Men: The Phoenix Saga Part I and Part II.

Oh boy I will get my pitchfork if he does that :funny:

So I went to a local international magazine store here in Belgium and they had all the 9 covers available. It was pretty hard to choose, but I went for the Nightcrawler one.

Storm/Angel, Magneto and Jean were a no-no, because of those legs, lol.
Beast and Cyclops are not really my favourite characters.
Psylocke looks cool, but a little bit weird (I don't know why).
Mystique and Quicksilver look also good, but I wish Mystique was blue.
So I had to choose between Apocalypse, Charles or Nightcrawler.

I hope that casting speculation for New Mutants is true.

You are fairly young, right? The movies keep getting made because the mainstream in general enjoys them and they have been at least since 2011 very well received by critics. Deadpool and Days of Future Past (in that surprising order) were the most successful ones yet.

Sure, fanboys don't like them because they hate "leather fetishes" and continuity errors. But you do know that most folks go in looking for a good movie? That is why they have surprisingly been able to stay around this long without rebooting.

no X film has bombed.

last stand was most successful of original trilogy despite mixed reaction from
fans,critics,and GA.even Origins was a success.

domesticly first class and the wolverine suffered a bit because of last stand and origins but not overseas.DOFP was very much a success and deadpool a smash.

Yes to your last paragraph. I despised the leather with a passion like seriously I did I'm hoping that keep that in the graveyard. The movie itself washing though that's why I kept watching them because in itself they were great.

Where do people usually buy Empire magazine? Barnes and Noble?

That's where I'm getting mine but they have no clue when the shipment comes in so idk when I'll be able to pick it up. Unless someone knows an alternative place to pick it up
