Ohhh I missed that news. Wow so it's seeming more and more likely that Gambit is getting scrapped.

I'm not sure how well Gambit will sell solo I know he is a popular character but I think they should just put him in an ensemble film. I'm a little worried about his movie getting scrapped. No to the OT we have what we have now, Storm is getting better development with Shipp

Storm getting more development has nothing to do with the actor and since this is the film where she get to fight the good guys for the first time in the series then join the X-Men for the first time - well they better showcase Storm more than they did before.

I didn't say it had anything to do with the actor especially since she isn't a really popular actress im saying with Shipp in the role meaning her in the past is getting more development. So I prefer it more so unless they power up the OT cast I think it's cool just having them in cameos from here on out. I'm loving the new young cast that we have taking the torch.

You know what it is up to the writer or whoever is in charge. Storm could be developed well whether its her teen version or her adult version, as long as the writer wants it to happen.

Given that this is the origin story for Cyke/Jean/Ororo, it should be a given that they would get a more substantial role in the film especially if people think they ddidn't have enough material in the previous films.

Yes that's true that's why I'm saying id rather stick with FC? Storm whom they seem to be putting in work to develop rather than what we got in the OT, since likeky we won't be getting another full fledged OT movie. It's totally up to the writers and I'm just glad they decided to flesh her out a bit this time around.

Off topic but I'm more excited for this year's Comic-Con convention than the convention that is happening today. I really hope there's 2 X-Men movies coming out next year!

was a popular character. His stock has fallen off quite a bit since the 90s. He's nowhere near as big so I found it puzzling why they'd choose him for a solo. I liked him in WO but they aren't even using that version

Lol yea your right about that it was shocking to hear he was going solo first it's likely because they have a big name (Channing Tatum) to portray him is why they gave it the go ahead.
