"they" who? The actors barely know anything about the comics. They might be wrong. If she uses her knife then is telepathic not telekinetic.
No, she's just created a telekinetic weapon that looks like the comics' telepathic one. You can see her cut a car in two with the energy blade in the trailer. The katana she's carrying is a real katana.

the new X-men unfortunately are background material on that new poster

I still hate seeing Mystique front and center in an X-men team shot

Munn has seen the script and played the role. I would think she knows what she acted over what you might think. Psylocke can create weapons out of TK. Unless she jabs the knife into someone's head and it knocks them out, one cant just assume thats TP, especially if we are lead to believe her weapon manifestations are TK

I'm guessing only after we see the movie we'll know for sure. Munn might not even know the difference of telepathy and telekinesis. A lot of actors are that stupid when it comes to comic books, not even only actors, directors, writes, etc.

I trust that you know the difference but I doubt that the actress know. I'm not talking only about this movie. In many movies about super heroes and powers the actors are really ignorant about what they're acting and only read the script.

Dude, her powers were discussed with her through the filmmakers. She wouldn't be confirming anything otherwise.

If we understand something wrong. We will explain it wrong, confirm it wrong.

She might be confirming what she understood but not what it really is in reality.

That's my point. I don't doubt that she said that or understood that but in the end, after they added the visual effects, what she thought that would be a telekinetic attack, might end up being a telepathy attack, and while she was acting she didn't even know that. Psylocke's weapons can be sometimes a mix of both. The dagger in the poster it is clearly a telepathic weapon.

Psylocke can create telekinetic weapons, I don't see why you are hung up on this. Munn is clearly aware that not being a telepath will disappoint certain fans and is trying to say stay hopeful for a future film.

Your only assumption seems to be that she's not bright enough to remember or properly discuss her own power set with the filmmakers. If those blades have telepathic abilities she would have to be involved in acting that out. Just to show her fighting with them is not enough to give the audience the idea that she is telepathic.

Wow Civil War is getting really positive reviews on RT. 15-20 days from now, we will get the first reviews for X:A :)

I know she can create weapons with telekinesis, I'm a long time reader of x-men, she can create lots of weapons, most notable one in X-men vol.4. When the team was Psylocke, Storm, Monet and Rachel, and even in Uncanny X-Force, the one she was the team leader and even battle Cable's team.

You're stuck on what Munn said, but from when she said until final product a lot of things can change, and there were even reshots this year.

She could have use the weapon knocking people out believing that it was TK when it was TP.

Seriously, at this point neither you and I can be 100% right about this. The best thing we can do is go watch the movie and comment later.

Everything can chance. And also, does she tells that information every day? When she told that? It was last week, month, year?

Depending on the date, at the time could be the only information that she had.

I'm sure Psycloke will not you telepathy like Jean and Professor will use, the same way that Jean will not use telekinesis like Psylocke use. But I'm sure that Psycloke will use some sort of attack with the dagger that it will be powered by telepathy.

I doubt that.

The movie will be released early all around the world at May 19th.

In fact US will be one of the last places to be released the movie. So a review to be released around May 10th is very possible to happen.

I'm sure if that were the case, they would have mentioned it at some point for hype on Psylocke. Something like "Oh unlike Jean or the professor, Psylocke uses her telepathy in a unique way" "Because of her unique telepathy, she'll show to be something unknown even to the likes of Professor X" etc. They'll likely allude to telepathy powers, but I wouldn't hold my breath for anything major like it powering her dagger

Yes, May 10th, not May 3rd.

And remember, if the film ends up being terrible, reviews won't be out until a day or 2 before release.

A Godzilla and an X-men trailer. It is a good week.

Not sure where the TP vs. TK debate comes from since they clearly said several times that she'll be using TK alongside her sword and wouldn't have TP. The only bone they threw us is that she 'might respond really fast' / 'seem to know what her opponents will do in advance'. But that's as far as her TP will go in this movie.

Apocalypse is the last chapter of the FC trilogy so course those characters will be more featured.

So... We'll get the 3rd trailer tomorrow for sure?

I missed that bit of info about the film possibly starting with a huge battle, maybe it's showing his first Horsemen and how they turned on him. I love Anciebt Egypt culture so seeing more of that will be welcomed by me.

Yeah, it was a while ago when Singer posted a fragmented shot of the first page of the script. In the first lines it had the words that were cut off on the edges because the image was zoomed in:

"coil with smoke. The Nile is streaked with...."

"is burning. Under the shadow of the...."

"sprawling battle as thousands of..."

"rulers--a group of very real..."

"as THE FOUR HORSEMEN."

She knows the difference. She grew up reading the comics. Psylocke was her favorite character. She even had to explain to the director about the character:

"“I was like, you know, there is that storyline, and I was really big about staying so true to Psylocke. In fact, I was like, ‘Um, she’s actually Psylocke because of the alien that took her body. She took on the name Psylocke because that was the alien’s name. And she becomes Psylocke after the Apocalypse,’ but they’re like, ‘Stop talking’ (laughs). I mean, I literally wrote a paragraph and at the end of it was like, ‘Do you guys want to fire me now. Am I too nerdy?’”

“I think my first thought [when I saw the costume] was it has to be purple, because we were going up against time and making it. It was black at first because that’s the way to—the latex is in black and all the armor is in black and it’s just easier, but I was like, ‘You’ve got to make it purple.’ That was kind of my first thought when I saw myself in the costume, which was in Photoshop.”

“Psylocke is telepathic and telekinetic. In the movie, we see her being a telekinetic. We don’t see her being telepathic. It’s a decision [we made] because this is the first time we’ve really been able to see the character of Psylocke and have her really, truly exist in the movie. I talked about it with Simon Kinberg. There’s just so much going on, especially with Apocalypse’s power, and then trying to take on all of the X-Men. When you are telephatic, I feel that it’s a power that you want to hold close to your chest. It’s a card that you don’t want a lot of people to know about because it’s so much more powerful when people don’t know that you have this power.”

“Some of my fight scenes that I have, I’m able to go after them quickly because I’m already assessing what they’re going to do but they don’t know that I have that ability. We create the sword and some other things, but the telepathy is incorporated in our decisions and everything that we’re doing. My character might ask a question but she already knows the answer, but we’ve already thought about that. It’s more of something I think for the fans to be able to know like, ‘Oh, that’s a cool moment because you can kind of see that you’re one step ahead with her."

“I think if Psylocke had a chance to tell her story, it would be great to start with the genesis and have an understanding … I think maybe like right as she’s getting out of university and before her whole family—we jump in right before all of her family is taken out and we have an understanding of what she had to lose. Then her figuring out her powers and how powerful she is. I think that would be a great thing to, because it’s something that I always loved about her. That she came from a good family and lost everything. Yeah, I would just like to tell that story.”

Idk why that guy keeps wanting to diminish her intelligence...:loco:

I totally forgot about that, thank you for the reminder. I'm so excited tomorrow should be the day for the trailer.
