Yeah nor have I... But could just be a candid shot from DOFP or something with his blazer off.. Or another past X-flick. I can't really remember what suits he wore apart from X2 tbh.

Judging from Patrick Stewart's face (no offense!) the picture is more recent than from OT. It's definetly possible it's from DOFP, though

Considering this isn't exactly a fan convention, I'm not exactly surprised.

Wait technically if they wanted a 2010's photo they should have used his cameo from The Wolverine. OT was set in the early 2000s, while DOFP was set in the end at 2020's.

Yahoo Movies and Faraci didn't see last trailer or what?

Latest poster is awesome.

Love Xavier at the front

A lot of movie news has been released this week. I don't blame Fox for giving a breather.

I'm of the view there's far too much movie news nowadays.

It's like everyday there's one or several new interviews or posters or trailers or teasers or pictures or rumours of one or several pop culture movies. It's like a 24/7 never-ending blitz.

But now I'm really thinking about Onslaught. The moment of Onslaught's creation could be the reverse, distorted version of Xavier and Eric's psychic moment in First Class. Magneto even cruelly wove metal in Wolverine's body in DOFP, echoing to the comics where Magneto ripped the adamantium out of his body. The story would have plenty of opportunities for psychic battles.

As an added bonus, given the nature of Onslaught, filmmakers could limit the screenttime for McAvoy and Fassbender, but still utilize them.

The posters have improved a little. Xavier looks like a cartoon in this one though. There are so many nerds out there who would do better work for free.

Why?

X-Men: First Class is a good movie, some would argue a great one (I certainly would). I would even go so far as to say its 1960s setting was used to much better and entertaining effect than Marvel did with the WWII window dressing in TFA.

No matter what though, it is a good movie. X-Men: Origins is a terrible one. That should answer your question.

I will never understand why some fans put so much stock and concern in continuity, literally sometimes at the expense of quality. Sure, First Class and Days of Future Past do not mesh perfectly together with the other seven films in the franchise, but if you like the movies it becomes ultimately moot in the end.

I guess for me, continuity is incredibly important to a story, and it does dampen things when films that share a universe don't mesh. I think at this stage of the superhero movie genre (and back in '11) continuity shouldn't be treated as a luxury. I love this series dearly but it's a complicated relationship.

Folks at JoBlo.com were saying that the trailer shown in the presentation was made only for the con.

Does anyone here know what that means? :funny:
It's from the Rogue One trailer. In that, the main character says "It's a rebellion isn't it? I rebel."

And because Raven is a similarly tough chick in a big blockbuster, that guy made the joke "It's an apocalypse isn't it? I apocal."

Oh...

Guess you had to be there...

Speaking of the poster - I can't believe that Lucas Till gets top billing and freaking Evan Peters doesn't. Lucas has got to have an INCREDIBLE agent haha.

The billing is exactly the way it's been on the website since December. Did people think the poster would be different?

James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, Ben Hardy

I just waited the whole week for nothing, not even a decent trailer description....
