She was also a mix of Caliban.
I felt I was missing something, there it is. So she was a mix of Callisto/Caliban/Quicksilver.

I dont understand whyd theyd tease Sinister at the end of Apocalypse then if theyre completely ignoring him. Its not as if they didnt expect Apocalypse to get a sequel.
Theyve been pretty consistent with following up past end credits, with Xavier twin in X3, Trask industries at the end of The Wolverine, Apocalypse at the end of DOFP.

if its a desperate move than why did they set up for it in apocalypse throughout the film?Do you remember when they showed Eric taking Emma to join the brotherhood in the end of FC, but then we got nothing from it at all in the sequel? Actually we only got Emma being killed off in one line of dialogue? Remember Raven rescuing Logan from Stryker at the end of DoFP, and that leading nowhere besides him getting his adamatium anyway?
If you ask me, I think FOX and the creative team was feeling very certain of the success of Apocalypse and actually wanted to use Sinister in a sequel. However the movie didn't get the reception expected at all, and they decided to jump to the biggest storyline they could get, which makes sense given Kinberg's statement of making the sequels feeling bigger than the previous one.
This adaptation of Dark Phoenix always felt like a huge desperate move. But that's just me.
I think they wanted him in Logan but Mangold wasn't interested and did his own thing. They aren't going to shoehorn him in another storyline just to honor that post credits scene.

Kinberg: "Hold my beer."
Proteus as villain? When?If that was a set up, why were they thinking about using Proteus as a villain?
X2 was a set up to Dark Phoenix.
LOL
Well I think in one interview Michael Dougherty did imply they were setting up Dark Phoenix by saying "once you introduce young Jean Grey, you know where the story is going..." or something like that.
Mind you, not that I agree that Apocalypse was enough "setup" for Dark Phoenix.
Proteus as villain? When?
Its already well known that William Stryker will return in a larger role in X-Men: Apocalypse, but what could come after Apocalypse is perhaps of greater note as Singer, when asked about which villain hed like to see in the X-Men series next, told Empire the following:
Id love to use Proteus somehow. Theres a lot visually you could do with a character like that.
Kinberg: "Hold my beer."
Are u srsly trying to argue that they werent setting up the dark pheonix movie? Why the hell would they show off the pheonix in all its glory just to not come back to it in the next movie. Also i dont believe for one second that Bryan Singer was seriously planning on using proteus before using mr.sinister or dark pheonix (both were teased in the actual movie). Bryan obviously had no serious plans for proteus and was probably just saying some random stuff from the top of his head.Once you introduce Gwen Stacy, you know what's coming... eventually. That doesn't mean it needs to happen as soon as possible, skipping all character development.
Jean is an iconic, core member of the X-Men first. She is more than just that storyline.

Mike Dougherty said:Well, once you introduce a young Jean Grey into a new X-Men film... where do you think its gonna go? Its gotta go in some directions.
yeah, thats highly unlikely.
she will probably be a mix of Lilandra/Veranque/whatever, u know, like X3 Callisto, that was like a mix of Callisto/Quicksilver, in a typical Kinberg fashion
That would have been eXciting! If I remember correctly, Singer's X3 and X4 were to be shot back to back. Jean returns after X2, decides to take the mutant v humans war into her own hands i.e. tearing cargo ships of mutant slaves apart, only to realize she's too big for earthly, trivial matters and leaves it with a hint that she'll always being watching or something like that as a star child, pretty sure she returns Dark in X4 probably from experiencing too much from the universe.. Other interesting facts, Sigourney Weaver was to play Emma Frost as an empath manipulating Jean, Scott would have been the focus and trains in the danger room blaming they weren't ready, for I assume Stryker, which led to Jean's sacrifice.
There is a podcast somewhere with X2 writer Michael Doherty talking about this. Definitely would have been fleshed out more this way.
I'm still pretty raw about this, but I'll happily accept this version in a graphic novel form.
He's so creative, mixing up powers/characteristics are just what we want.![]()
He is basically the new Wiseau.Yep because he wrote, directed and starred in X3 all by himself. In fact it was a one man show.
