Soooo........ trailer in mid April? The teaser trailers for last two x films were lack lasture; although at least dofp had the nostalgic effect going for it. Apoc had little money shots because of the unfinished effects. I’m hoping the extra time means a polished trailer with what the movie is tonally .

What do you guys want to see? t:

Just before Deadpool 2 would make sense? Trying and build moment from peoples interest in the x-universe again or at least try...

Want to see Cyclops taking lead.

That won't definitely happen. Fox loves Jlaw. We didn't get even a solo picture of Storm, Beast, Cyclops, Dazzler and Nightcrawler yet. But we already got a solo picture of Mystique. She will remain front and center for the promotion of this film whether we like it or not.

As if JLaw will show that she cares about being in the franchise. Not hard to remove her.

Jlaw couldn't care less if she's not in the movie. Its Fox and Kinberg who decided to bring her back. Crazy, we had to wait 8 years to see the OT cast together in their 4th X-Men film. Yet Jlaw and the other three First Class cast members will appear in their 4th X-Men film together in a span of 8 years, when they already headlined two underperforming films. Geez.

No doubt they'll heavily use JLaw to promote the movie. My only question is: Are they going to promote her as Mystique or JLaw, like they did in Apocalypse?

Probably both, but I would like to think they are smarter this time to actually feature Jlaw with the blue make up in the group posters. Anyway, with Red Sparrow underperforming at boX office, I hope they aren't as blinded by her star power anymore as they were before.

Anyway, Raven and Erik were really the film's Achilles' heel. They just put more classic X-Men (that aren't villains) in the background.

One thing I'm soo tired of in this franchise is Jennifer Lawrence. She only gets more and more annoying.

I would like a trailer as soon as possible so at least we can get a feel of what type of movie we're getting. With some polished action sequences please.

Also those flight suits from Apocalypse were sooooo dated by today's standards. No wonder the movie wasn't that hyped. The DOFP costumes looked much better. They should've used the ending costumes to promote the movie even if it was false advertising . At least this time around they have flashy uniforms to market.

I wouldnt call those yellow and blue costumes flashy. Everyone have the same design and the design looks too basic.

She says she couldn't even name five of the X-Men in an online lie detector test.

Yet she's been in four X-Men movies now. What does that tell you? It's just for the money, she phones it in, and it shows...

It was cringeworthy to watch JLaw in Apocalypse. And if she is in makeup the whole time in DP, I feel it will be 10x worse.

On another (partially unrelated) note, Black Panther has become the highest-grossing superhero movie of all time in US. Which sets the bar really high for the sequel. And I'm willing to bet Storm might make her MCU debut in there.

Given the way they treated the female characters... I wouldn't mind.

It would be somewhat digestible if it was an actress that I liked was Mistique but i think Jennifer Lawrence is a terrible, bland actress with very little charisma and thats the insult to injury. Thats why I dont hate the over use of Magneto so much because Fassbender imo is atleast a great actor and is 100% committed to the role.

The only silver lining is that she looks more comic accurate in this one. She's still missing the skull motif tho...

the way Fox created the composition in the posters is just disgusting. If anyone saw a poster while walking in the streets, they hardly would recognize the X-Men on there, since most of them are almost hidden or in the background.

Fox and their team.....
at least the Avengers posters always look like the actual Avengers.
If only Fox took some lessons from that. But no.

Don't quite get the hate for her. If you didn't like her in Apocalypse I suppose I can understand that, but she's very good inf First Class and especially DOFP. I also appreciate that Mystique actually has a compelling story/arc across the past three films. Can't say that for a lot of female comic book movie characters nowadays.

island scene. The costumes we've seen do show up early in the movie; space rescue. Quicksilver isn't stealing the show, but there is some notable teamup with Nightcrawler. Cyclops vs Beast at one point. There isn't a lot of action (like standard 3 act stuff), but there is a lot of power uses. The death in the movie is pretty much who folks here wanted to die so badly. Jean had voices in her head before she killed this person. Skrulls look scary. Overall, according to her, it was miles better than Apocalypse.

That's all I could get.

I think the marketing for Apocalypse might be to blame for that. If you look at the third trailer it made it seem like Mystique was the main character of the film, when in reality Apocalypse is still an ensemble film just like the other entries in the franchise.
