I dunno know about that. Marvel may take over after the franchise ends, but I don't think its to insert Disney/Marvel INTO the movie or vice versa. That doesn't sound likely (unless they've already secretly regain the rights apart from the merger in some deal which the public is unaware of). And this was a planned trilogy when they shot the film. So, I don't know about that. It doesn't sound realistic. And according to Kevin Feige on these characters:

So, certainly it won’t impact the five movies we’ve announced, and it probably wouldn’t impact anything for a handful of years after that.

Any movie, especially for any characters we don’t have the rights to yet until someone tells us we do, would be even further after that

If and or when Disney Marvel get a hold of these characters it could be toward the end half of another ten years before we see a movie about them. That's so long a wait I'd probably have lost interest by then. Sucks.

I don’t know if you know this but Kinberg is the writer, producer and director for this film. Naturally, what comes out of this movie will be mostly based on his talents...

Yup X3 premiered at Cannes, thanks in large part to how great X2 was. But probably also coz Ratner knew people. It's really who you know in this industry...

Well the New Mutants could still be released (in theaters), while Deadpool 3: X-Force could be the final Foxverse film. I doubt Marvel Stud10s would let Fox go beyond that after they got the rights back.

But in terms of the "X-Men", hopefully Dark Phoenix will be the last of it. As much I wanted this franchise to end in a good note, they aren't gonna bring back the ot cast to portray the X-Men in the present or future period. While Marvel Stud10s is probably more than ready to do their own take to the property which is gonna be eXciting. For those who liked the best X-Men team movies from Fox, just pretend it ended with Dofp.

No, it means being at Cannes is no indication of a film’s quality. Or that being booed at Cannes means the movie was bad.

Google “good films booed at Cannes.” The list includes Pulp Fiction, Taxi Driver, Crash, Tree of Life.

Sometimes just “edumacating” yourself (via google or other means) instead of thinking everything is a jab at your favourite filmmaker can make you better-informed and helps you not throw tantrums.

I would feel embarrased if a spinoff like deadpool is much more successful than most x-men movies. What a shame Fox. Your biggest team doesnt even click with general audience but a rated-r character does.
