15 years of bs. Boycotting. Yada yada. A group of 20 somethings set in the past can make a decent X-Men film.
It's nowhere close to real. LOL. It's 2018, y'all. Your eyes should be trained by now.
For one, the kerning is atrocious, and for 2 "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" has never been the title of the film.

true. Hopefully a 20 something teenager makes a better x-men movie than 40s something Kinberg.
lets wait to see if Fox sign a newcomer next year, then.
A 20 something teenager, huh?
like jul-ish, or more september-ish
Well even a 20 something teenager could easily figure that one out

I guess some of us just always have a teenager inside us despite our age ?
t:Setting the character's ages to older doesn't automatically equate better movie by default. You can cover more ground with a younger cast, more stories. 1990s X-men was fairly high tech/sci-fi in the comics. Using that as an excuse to set the films in present day doesn't make any sense. All that technology you listed was present in the 90s x-men, which was their peak popularity. I always think Terminator 2 vibe tonal-wise. Even the introduction to the shi'ar tech was 70s-80s in the comics. Time period isn't a hindrance to those concepts, so you don't need a movie set in present day just to get that. You can do a lot in the 90s setting.I'm not saying they can't, but that:
(1) they are doing a lousy job of it and
(2) we do need Fox to put together a different creative team for an X5. Young actors are great, especially for something like New Mutants, but if you look at the top superhero films of all time, like Nolan's Batman trilogy, X-Men 2, Avengers 3, WonderWoman, Black Panther you'll realize the main cast is mostly in their 30s and up. Talk about Fox sticking to formulas. Fans have been waiting to see Marsden/Cyke lead a team along with Paquin/Rogue and other characters who were forgotten.
Linking Deadpool to the prequels was a bad choice. It's one of the best films to keep in the present because of its popularity. Also, 1990 was nearly 30 years ago and X-Men's meant to be sci-fi, not historical. You need to be on par with the sci-fi we've seen in Black Panther, especially with characters like Beast and Forge and the technology like Cerebro, the Danger Room, the X-Jet, the time travelers, the Sentinels, etc.
So, I'm down to watch all the prequels IF there's a separate effort to bring us a high quality continue the original cast's X-Men films every now and then, set in the near future and maybe following up on X4 (Days of Future Past) and Logan. I think X-23 (Laura played by Dafne Keen) would make a great replacement for Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. Gambit could be the next ladies' man, especially if you develop a trilogy.
You really only need one kid, like Spiderman in Avengers 3 and Jubilee in the animated series:
definetly. Some even have that cute teenager hope, believing things will be better next time around. or better the next time around, or the next time around....
How cutet:
