Dark Phoenix X-Men: Dark Phoenix News and Speculation Thread - - - - - - Part 15

I fully agree with what Alexandra said in the interview
apparently to many people "excited" with the return of the xmen to the marvel just to see some characters serving as support for black panther, captain america, cm and etc ... and generally are the same people who complain about how these characters were treated wrong way on fox.

This is what Sophie Turner admitted and I quote:

She didn't say what it was for, though.
That's very admirable of Sophie. She wasn't the right fit for Jean but you can't blame her for getting the role. Hate the game and all that.

I can't really imagine Ronan as Jean to be fair either though. Continuity wise alone I can imagine Turner growing up to become Jannsen.

I think that Feige/Disney will have the ability to give right space to all characters that we all are missing in Fox movie (Scott, Warren, Bobby, Peter, Ororo). On a productive level they are 10 miles over Fox.

My problem with Feige/Disney is that movies, even the ones i like more (Thor, Avengers2, GoG1), despite the fun, they have always superficial charismatic characters, one-level written and acted.

We never have a portrait based both on words and image, 'cause the 'image' is not important in disney.
For image i don't meaning the cgi, the costumes etc..but the simple use of images to say something that is the use of colours in the two Charles meeting in DoFP or the beginning of the Wolverine or the way actor are used with more silence part than in mcu.
Of course i don't say Singer and Mangold get an Antonioni or Bergman level.
But mcu use a tv-like style to make all simpler.

Hey, doesn't stop fanboys for buying the PR hype to this day that The Winter Soldier is a "1970s political spy thriller" because they said so enough times in the marketing material. ;)
But what about the MCU...

Well at least we can agree Dark Phoenix being a drama, or a psychological thriller, or a space opera is PR hype.

I have the same problem, and it annoys me that they rarely get called out for it.

Open ended. Only thing that comes to mind is if they imply Jean is not really dead and still lives on, similar to X2s ending. Knowing that this is the last Xmen movie they surely cant end on a downer like the comic story does.
There’s a spoilerific quote floating around the inter webs from Kinberg (I suppose it’s an interview during WonderCon) identifying by name who survives in this movie. It’s quite something. LOL

Link? He’s such a mess.

next month it will be "a psychedelic sci-fi movie in the vein of Legion" :funny: :funny: :funny:

I agree with Shipp about the Storm/T'Challa pairing. Don't like it. Didn't even make sense in the comics. It always played like something Cartman would dream up.
She shouldn't be made another hero's arm candy. Plus, to pull Nakia out, just because now Storm is in play, is just about the worst possible motivation for character progression.

Click on spoiler:
Following the last movie's time-jumping events Kinberg confirmed that these versions of Xavier, Magneto et al aren't necessarily the same ones we know from the original X-Men trilogy. "Everything is an alternate timeline at this point, but the one thing we have established is the end of Days of Future Past, where Wolverine wakes up in the future mansion - that is the destination of this new timeline. So ultimately they are going to become who you see at the end of that movie."
Jean, Scott, Storm and Beast are all in that scene, you'll notice - but some others are not, meaning their fates are "up for grabs".
Looks like it's a quote from Apocalypse. Even then it was still Kinberg (as far back as Apocalypse) who couldn't help but spoil who survives. In Apocalypse. And in Dark Phoenix.

Mess can't help itself.

Its a mess that we had to go back to a quote from 2016.
When I posted that it was in bad form to spoil *that* death in the Dark Phoenix, you complained then too.

And that was a February 2019 trailer. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Just seems like you can't handle opinions different from yours.
