I can not remember the fox showing XMA stuff at events, for journalists and fans around the world

the only thing I remember were the standard sessions that every movie has a few days before its launch, session for journalists.

what they are doing with DP is a sign that at least they are sure they have a good product on hand, and comments from people and journalists who have seen what has been shown confirm this.

terrible CGI and we all know per test screenings how bad the movie is

Fant4stic and Apocalypse both had pre-release screenings.

& plenty of times good early reactions NEVER match up with what the general audiences see. The defenders are really holding on to anything they can hold on to at this point

Isn't that usually how it works? Dark Phoenix is not the first movie ever yno.

As for screenings... well i am sure it would be worse if they were hiding the movie in any regard don't you think? even worse if the footage shown was getting a bad response.

uhhh end game didnt. they barely let us know what was going on.

but yeah spiderman 2014 did and we all know how that ended up.

I really dont understand why people say They wont see it cause its gonna be rebooted by Marvel!! Whats have one thing to do with the other! No matter who did it or wich company release it! Its a cool looking movie, an adventure with our favourite characters that we wont see for a long time. Enjoy and relax!

Actually, who is to say some of those reshoots that were done were not tied in to how the franchise is going to be transitioned over to the MCU?

The Disney guys already said they are rebooting X-Men stop living in denial. This is the final Fox Men movie let it go

Fant4stic and Apocalypse both had pre-release screenings.

From what I can remember, Fantastic 4 was not screened until three days before it's release. It had no red carpet premier.

Apocalypse was screened. But I don't think anyone will rank Apocalypse among Fantastic 4 in terms of quality. Half the audience liked that film.

People are expecting this film to be as bad as Fantastic 4. I doubt that and it's most likely better than Apocalypse.

Deadpool 2 had some very negative test screenings, yet look at the end result! Films are really made in the editing room... in that regard, we’re definitely in good hands.

Those few seconds of CGI hair are already better than The Last Stand. The story for this may suck, but at least it will look a little better.

And i dont understand why compare this kind of action with endgame. Now every film must top avengers action! A movie shows what it needs, we are not expecting that now after endgame every film is gonna have over the top action and effects! Sometimes less is more efective, More intimist

Compared to the other superhero films coming out this year this seems to be the only one participating in practical action sequences. The helicopter in that clip looks real, they blew up real sets in Jean's neighborhood, and they crashed a train car into a set behind Fassbender.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what this movie is going to get in china
I'm predicting something really great.
the movie will open for 4 days of local holiday and without any competition, it would be kind of funny and cool if china alone gives 230m + to the movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if it makes more in China then North America.

this is practically guaranteed
some predictions from people who follow the box office in China say that DP in these 4 days of holiday can reach 110-120 million, the franchise has always been popular in China, so I'm expecting something big, the doubt is just how big it will be, 200,250,300m ? It will be interesting.
in North America at best the hypotheses will reach the numbers of XMA

So today at the theater I went to see detective Pikachu at they showed a new scene from Dark Phoenix (it was an advertisement for ppl to turn their phones off ). It was the scene where the X-Men confronts Jean at her childhood home, Scott Pleads with her to come back to him, they added sound effects of phones ringing, next it showed Jean being irritated by the ringing phones, her Phoenix powers glowing, I then saw Quicksilver grabbing Storm while she threw a lightening bolt at Jean to get her out of the way.

If this classify as spoilers I apologize but it was nice to see new footage though.

I've not yet really seen anything that makes this a 'must see' film with wow factor.

The twisting train and Magneto using machine guns on Chastain's character (do they explain how she is so indestructible in human skin?) come close and look quite exciting but it generally seems small and budget-conscious. And yet, with all the money they spent, where did the budget go?

The space shuttle doesn't quite go into space, and that sorta sums this up - 'not quite'...

The fact that the Disney posters and trailers are a lot better than the Fox versions tells us how bad Fox were at marketing these films. They've never really had a grasp on the X-Men and what they've got in their hands and Marvel's most popular comic book characters have suffered on screen as a result.

I also do not like the trailer shots of the showdown in Jean's neighbourhood. Quicksilver running up the airborne pieces of wood is boring (we saw him do that with the metal debris in Apocalypse) and Jean pushing aside Storm's lightning as though lightning is a physical thing does not feel right to me. That whole sequence could have been better conceived and far more creative.

This movie is gonna really hurt Godzilla 2 in China. Could be really big.
