well if he is Synch or Gateway then it would still be significant. As Synch he could replace Riptide or someone for the Brotherhood. Gateway doesn't talk so that would be fine there. I don't see him being a silent henchment for Dinklage's character. Seems like a huge waste for him.

Dinklage Is likely to be playing a human Villain.

There are 3 choices for Omar to be playing

1:Bishop In major role(which I pray not)
2:A new X-Man In 1973.Synch or original character
3:A new member of Brotherhood.SYnch or original Character

since Bryan has said he is a fan of the 90's tv show, I wont be surprised if Omar ends being Bishop, lol

That doesnt mean he will be the traveler, tho. He can easily be a secondary character on the future scenes, with a smaller role than Rogue, Kitty and Iceman.

I hope that when Cyclops, Storm, and Jean are eventually introduced into the X-men (past) they are not in the same team as more senior members (read: older). So I hope characters (like Havok, Banshee) who would be 30's by 1973 are safely out of there. With the speculation that he could be one of the First Class, I also hope his character won't be there when Cyke, 'Ro and J are intro'ed. I think it would be quite jarring to see James' Xavier leading a character that's older (!) than him.

If he is Bishop, I think he would be more than a cameo, but maybe this is part of Fox plan for the near future, with Bishop leading to another movie with him in a bigger role.

With reports saying majority of film takes place In 1973 throwing any new
characters In future scenes takes time away from OT actors.

Even If you spread future scenes across 2 hours by using the comics cutting back and forth between past and future you are still defeating purpose to
do DOFP to put a lot of focus on new characters.If they want to be answer to Avengers remember Maria hill was only new character Introduced In The
Avengers.

It's clear that there will be more than one time traveller. Having two casts isolated from each other won't work - there has to be interaction between them. Some of them at least.

I really wish they would have announced someone else that we know who they were playing.

Putting Bishop In film hurts film.What's the point of using Bishop If not as Time traveler.
And Bishop as Time Traveler eliminates any chance of crossover between OT and First
Class casts.And then Introducing a major new character In future scenes also takes
time away from focus of OT cast especilly since reports say majority of film takes place
In 1973.At most you might only get 30 minutes In future.

Bishop If he remains a shoot first ask questions later type also could create problems In
1973 America for mutants.

The future scenes will likely be mutants and sentinles.And I doudt you will have any human characters In Nixon Administration who are black.

Omar could be playing a character like Synch as member of X-Men or Brotherhood(More likely X-Men)

I doudt Bryan will use twitter to announce cameos.So even If Gateway Is one who
causes time travel,which I hope Isn't the case,I doudt Omar Is playing him.

I disliked how they did Days of Future Past in the 90s cartoon, so I'd rather not have Bishop as a time traveler. I could still see Omar Sy as Bishop, a future escapee of the mutant internment camps and leader of a resistance, kind of like in Wolverine and the X-men.

we still dont know who will be the 70's x-men, or which FC characters will be back too, and if we add Nixon, and Storm, well.... the cast will be pretty bigger t:

Well we have 12 Confirmed cast members.It's 90 percent certain Halle Berry will be back as Storm.And we know Nixon Is character so that brings us to 12 Characters(with Xavier and Magneto In both timeframes)

That's not mentioning chances of Havok and Banshee among X-Men.Emma and Azarel among brotherhood.Moira among human characters.Mystique also among the future timeline.Plus possibilty of another character from trilogy making cut In future.And then we also have sentinles In future.

About Omar: First thought Bishop, second thought Gateway.

What if Gateway is the one that helps people travel through time? That way the time travel can be physical, without having to introduce a time machine. A mutant with time traveling powers makes much more sense in this world and Gateway fits that bill.
