HALLE BERRY CONFIRMS SHE'S BACK AS STORM!

Great, now the movie got just that little bit blander.

Now we need back:
- Cyclops
- Colossus
- Angel
- Nightcrawler
- Beast (2000)

- Emma Frost
- Riptide
- Angel Salvadore

- Moira
- Havok
- Banshee

I hope not, unless people actually want this movie to be a mutant Valentine's Day.

Banshee, yes, and if somebody absolutely has to return for the 70s Brotherhood team I guess Emma, though I'm not a big fan of January Jones' performance.

For me the only mutants that need to return are Emma, Havok and Banshee for a supporting role.

Then the roster would consists of
10s X-Men: Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Iceman, Shadowcat, Bishop (plus cameos for Colossus and Angel)
70s X-Men: Professor X, Beast, Havok, Banshee
Brotherhood: Magneto, Mystique, Emma Frost (plus Azazel, though I hope his role is very minor)

Then you have the older Professor X and the older Magneto which I don't think will join the action and Peter Dinklage's character as the main antagonist.

dont forget there will be new young characters. and probably on the 70's team

Yeah, there has to be more X men then Banshee, Havok and Beast on the FC team. They cant hold their own at all against the Brotherhood. Unless the entire OT travels back thats gonna be a weak roster and disappoint audiences pretty heavily when we leave the future scenes. People are way hyped for the OT crew returning and I doubt they can match that roster but they have to bring on at least two more characters who can bring the action on the 70s team.

With the cast already as big as it is now, there's a limit to how many new characters they could add.

I think it's more likely that characters from the future (like Rogue, Kitty, Wolverine) will travel back and boost the numbers of the 70s X-Men. It's easier than trying to add new members.

The only problem is that it seems likely there would be some new recruits in the decade that's passed since the first film, unless most of that time has been spent getting disability modifications to the mansion and creating all the rooms on the lower levels (medical bay, danger room, Cerebro, jet hangar).

Unless Charles went all Bruce Wayne in TDKR, I can't imagine that he'd be idle and not keep the team up and running. Though it's definitely possible that his team will get some boost from the future.

Plus hasn't Singer mentioned "younger roles" in a recent interview?

Yeah Im starting to think they are gonna bring most the OT crew to the past as well. Not sure how I feel about that tbh. Guess it depends on how they do the time travel and if its a fixable future or not.

If they dont use most the OT tril, they have to balance it out. Especially if most the film is in the 70s like it was rumored. Its difficult to believe over a decade has passed and then spend most the film there with only three students. Unless Prof X closed up shop and Magnetos been hiding for over 10 years its gonna seem odd. Mags seemed pretty determined on getting something going at the end of FC.

Its not that hard to show quickly how the school has evolved since the 60's.

The very first scene on the manssion on the 70's can already show some young students there, like previous movies have done, and once we see the actual x-men, one new mutant is there with them.

Charles or any of the FC x-men can mention his/her name, and later in the movie we discover his/her power, maybe in a danger room session, add some lines here and there and on the final battle he/she shows his full power, and thats it. That would be a nice introduction to the character, to be developed a bit more in the next sequel.

Not all the new characters needs 30 minutes of development, you know?

Agreed. Its more believable to show new students going to the school and that its evolved then to see them in the same spot they were at FC. Too much times gone by.

Never know I guess, gonna be interesting...

exactly. It would be so unrealistic. Bryan has the talent to show this stuff, as we saw on X1 and X2.

The school on DOFP will be different and bigger, and the x-team will be bigger too. Its not a big deal, as some fans are afraid of.

I can easily see five or six scenes where the new team member could appear without the need to give him too many screentime and lines.

- First scene on the manssion in the 70's timeline
- Arrival of the traveler to the school
- 70's x-men training on the danger room
- X-men on the subway walking to the jet for the final battle
- Final big battle with the brotherhood

This is more than enough for the audience to met the new member. As long as the character has one or two lines on each scene, it will be fine. At the end of the day, its not like Banshee and Havok had 40 minutes of dialogue on FC. This sequel would be the Introduction to the new character, not his first and last appearance on the prequel series. And even if Fox doesnt do a third part, who cares? As long as the audience mets a new cool mutant, with some lines here and there, what more do we need? lol

I wonder what bad wig and bad accent Berry will use in this film!?

Frost can be re-cast the rest can stay out of the film, they weren't that good to start off with.

So you are saying that Halle provided her own wig?

Wow, you learn something new every day. I was totally unaware that actors provided their own costuming, hair and make-up for these films.

Thanks for that astonishing insight.

No I didn't say anything of the sort, just in each of the films she was in her wig got worse and worse.

That middle row looks great! Now if we can only get this guy back as well:

that would be cool. Maybe Singer will keep it as a later surprise, for Comic Con or so. would be a cool surprise for the fans

And about the panel, the future timeline is pretty fine already, it seems its time to start completing the 70's one, lol

Exactly! And I hope that if they include Havok, his power is better depicted. I didn't like him either thrusting his chest out and firing red blasts, or doing the hula hoop move. Let's see circles of blue energy rising up through his body, down his arms and out of his hands.

I got the feeling that in First Class he was getting to grips with using his powers. By the end of the movie he had them under control, he was thrusting his chest a bit but he was directing his powers more with his arms eg. the shot where he blasts Angel out of the sky on the beach. It could be a nice natural evolution if in DOFP he mainly used his arms but the beams still came from his chest.

I would have loved to see blue energy on FC. Mainly because red energy has been used many times already, and if Omar is indeed Bishop, his power should be red too, but Singer would probably change the look of his power too :whatever:

And if young Cyclops gets introduced on the third part, and Havok is still around, it would be boring to see them using the same colour. Always loved those comic pics where Cyclops and Havok are attacking each other and we see a red blast against a blue one. I guess we wont see that in the franchise in the next 10 years :whatever:

Now, now, Mrs. Vimes. The X-Men are all about tolerance! :nono:

:)

Totally agreed. I love January Jones as an actress but I wasn't thrilled with her as The White Queen. But I guess the character herself would be interesting to have as a villainess in the past timeline. Technically, she's the only one powerful enough to give Professor X a run for his money as a nearly even match.

Which is why Havok should be dropped from Days Of Future Past. His involvement completely makes bringing Scott back redundant.

no, Havok and Cyclops should share at least one sequel together.

Fox is expanding the franchise, so to introduce and drop characters that way would be disrespectful to the universe and the fans.

if that's what you want, fine, but other fans want some continuity and a bit more development for the latest additions. Its not too much to ask for
