Days of Future Past X-Men: First Class - The Clips' Topic

I don't think they've released that much. Only what? Four actual clips? Plus everything else has been spread out in TV spots, it's hard to tell what happens when and with whom.

I don't think they've been as crazy as Thor. Now that movie released a TON of clips and stuff before it was even released.

disagree.
if you venture onto CBM right now, the whole damn page is X:FC clip, X:FC interview, X:FC new TV spot featuring extra footage.

While not technically all being "clips", they have shown a TON from this movie.

Thor released a few clips (also 4, I believe) but they were minor, inconsequential moments.

With this movie, I feel like I've already seen a number of important character beats, and many of the coolest SFX moments.
It was the same on X3 and XO:W, where a full, like, third of the movie was online beforehand, including all the coolest parts, cuz that's how fox rolls.

I feel like they're definitely overdoing it

My ears or my computer must suck because I can't hear a damn thing in most of those clips. :csad:

Yeah, more often than not when a studio releases a scene from a film online, it's usually been edited.

Unless it's for X-men: The Last Stand, they couldn't edit down those clips close that's how short Ratner's ADD edited them to be. :o:oldrazz::cmad: LOL

New clip...Charles meets Raven for the first time. The whole film will be released before it hits theaters :o

Woah. Are they allowed to show that??

[BLACKOUT]A naked 11-year old girl? If I were a young Charles Xavier I would definitely be "scared" of this naked girl in front of me.[/BLACKOUT]

I remember X1 had a featurette on tv where it had new clips of Senator Kelly talking about how bad mutants in a speech while talking about the mutants in the film and showing clips/interviews about them. At the end they revealed that Senator Kelly's daughter was a mutant. Back in those days I would always eagerly anticipate X-Men movie news on the tv. I remember when they announced the X1 trailer's first showing during a particular tv show and I watched the entire show just to catch that trailer (don't even remember the show now).

I had the TV special for awhile on VHS.

Yea i had a VHS tape of most of the first movie's campaign on tv, talk show appearances, tv specials, commercials. But I have no idea where it's at now :(
Do you still have the tape and would u be able to upload it online?

This...would be a good time to split this whole forum into a non-spoilers section for guys like me..

I'm pretty sure she's wearing something under that make up. I think Singer has learned a lesson in that...

Technically she isn't naked, but yeah it's a bit awkward. They could have used different angles or something instead of showing her full-on like that.

LOL of course I know that!

Yea they didn't really need to show that she's naked.

And I guess it's confirmed that Mystique can alter her body mass, that is she can transform into someone larger (or smaller, as the case may be) than she is.

It's on the first X-men dvd

It's the Mutant Watch Special

According to the rating/FTC laws full body paint is generally assumed to be like a form-fitting body suit unless certain 'detailed anatomy' is visible. Basically, as long as there's no 'detail' you're considered clothed (Part of why Watchmen was an 'R' rating was due to Dr. Manhattan having enough detail to be considered 'nude' (well, that and...watchmen...seriously this movie wasn't going to be PG anything), while the X-men stayed at PG-13 because Mystique's body paint was obscuring enough to be considered clothing)

My issue was not because there's a virtually naked kid in this movie. My issue was having this this kid (Xavier) seeing a nude girl pretty much and reacting as if its nothing. But that's just a minor complaint.

You could argue that Xavier had peeked into her mind and knew what her true form was like. If anything, he was probably anticipating the shape-shifting. It probably fits his character. Although I would've liked, since he was a kid, to react with surprise even for a second. But it really is minor as you said.
