Ahhh you beat me to it, I literally came in to discuss this I just saw it online. I hope this is true a great actress like her I think could slay in the role of Lilandra. OMG make it true.

See that actually makes me excited for the movie now. As someone pointing out these other studios are getting top caliber actors/actresses to play in their movies I really hope we get someone great for Lilandra and at least Gladiator if he is in it as well. Omg Im so excited.

If I'm reading Chris M's twitter correctly (from Omega Underground), seems like Chastain may possibly be confirmed soon (via THR...likely Monday/Tuesday?). Thats if it's true.

I really hope Fox surprise us and calls it the Phoenix Saga...or whatever. I don't see how they will be able to do Dark Phoenix justice in one movie...sigh.

I feel like Jolie is a bit more likely than Chastain, just because she might need a franchise per Sneider? She can pull Lilandra off as can Chastain, but yeah.

I'd be a bit more interested if Jolie were directing Dark Phoenix though. I'd rather see her do that to be frank. She has some experience compared to Kinberg.

Honestly I wouldn't put to much though into the jolie thing, if anything the chances of her being apart of the film are slim at best.

If Fox is second to bring in Lilandra and the Shi'ar do you guys think they'll go with the Ultimate version of the character and Phoenix storyline? I have no doubt Jean may go into space and destroy like a moon or something, lol

I do think it would most likely be more for lack of a better word... grounded.

The Ultimate versions spliced in with 616 would be my best guess.

Why is that we still dont know much about DP yet, while Mummy is already released and Ive heard the issues with it? Unless Jean dies and her powers go to Cyclops im not seeing the similarities.

Well yea that is a similarity but not all first time writers/producers on a big budget film flop at it, some actually soar. Idk about Kinberg honestly ill have to wait and see, unless they found someone else and just keeping it very much under wraps which is what I hope lol.
