I think we a due a Nightcrawler White House assault type scene in this franchise, with the same character himself. It could really top those Quicksilver scenes if done well.

first off we need confirmation nightcrawler is in dark phoenix.

Hopefully they would age faster too. :o
There already in their 20s I believe they are of proper age they dont need to be 40's, this is the perfect age especially since in the comics they are eternally 25ish lol.
Time traveling characters to the future just so they can be in present day is convoluted at best.
If they decide to send them to space and time went by and when they return its present isnt necessarily time travel. Roughly speaking it takes years to travel from planet to planet so it can be explained thats the reasoning as to why especially if its some unknown planet light years away. I think thats an easy way to do it. The universe is already convoluted though lol, so it wouldn't be anything different. They dont have to bring them to the present but if they decide to it really could work and as we know Fox usually does what that want whether it makes sense to the fans or not.

I feel some just want the X-MEN old like them or something

Lol Idk what it is, I just think some believe these actors are younger because of the age they play in the movies but they are in their 20s, which is an ideal age for the characters to be.

Yeah I don't want a recast 35 year old Scott and Jean, who will be looking to retire from the role when they are 40. A recast Logan should be in his early 30s at least though.

Marvel cast 20 somethings for Widow Thor and Cap at the start of the MCU for a reason. Widow looked like a teenager in Iron man 2, but she has grown into the role. If they knew the MCU would be so successful, I'm sure they would not have cast Tony in his 40s. I'm glad RDJ got the gig though.

i am afaird kinberg will again due to his apparent obsession with lawrence.
this time they can't blame it on budget.

What does Mystique have to do with X3-ing Nightcrawler?

And he probably has less of an obsession with Lawrence then what the fans do.

They would be foolish to remove Nightcrawler from Dark Phoenix. He's one of the few characters Jean established a relationship with in Apocalypse. Then again, they removed him from X-Men 3.

Wasn't he removed from X3 mainly because Alan Cumming declined to reprise the role due to the strenuous makeup application?
I don't see why they would exclude any of the main mutants from Apocalypse.

I don't see why Nightcrawler, storm, jean, cyclops and quicksilver wouldn't be back.

Agreed. I wonder if there are any plans for Psylocke and Angel to return. (Mainly Psylocke)

nope.cuming while he didn't like makeup process was willing to return nightcrawler was cutf rom script since it was decered to save money since his role in script was smaller than in x2 to save money for not having to pay for his makeup.

Please stop.

why this is the truth.i often hear x-men should be in present so they can interact with deadpool.doesn't mind that those who moan about contunity problems are advoacating making it far worse for transpoting the apocalypse and first class cast to present.

With Hugh retired to his million acre emu farm in the Australian Outback, Mr. Pool is FOX's sole remaining Marvel A-Lister. Keeping the characters separated from a proven BO generator for the purpose of continuity, in a franchise that hasn't paid any attention to continuity in quite some time, is ridiculous.

Having all the characters existing in the same time period opens up film possibilities, such as X-Men vs X-Force, that could spark new interest in the franchise. If the new team members are going into space anyway it makes a whole lot of sense to have them touchdown in Trump's America. If we have to suffer, so should they.

No it really isn’t. The only reason you mention it is you think *that* reboot would make the X-men films in the same fourth-wall-breaking style as Deadpool.

Look, like you, I myself don't get the appeal of Deadpool, the movie, nor the character.

And I am an even bigger critic of Kinberg and the franchise of late. But I don’t for one second think that he’s incompetent enough to make the X-men a Deadpool-style comedy.

:up::up:

Nobody is asking the X-Men to be a 4th wall breaking comedy like Deadpool, nor do I think any filmmaker at Fox would think that would be a good idea. Heck even X-Force probably won't be on that level. That said, arguing Deadpool can't be in X-Men or vice versa is another story. That's gonna happen eventually if a situation presents itself cause ya know....Deadpool is in the Fox X-Men universe.

They didn't force feed Deadpool into Logan cause everyone all around agreed it wouldn't suit the film even though the fans clearly wanted those two to go head to head. I'd imagine the same goes for X-Men.

Not sure it makes as much sense as you think it does.

But does it look like they are all that bothered about it?

i am more worried kinberg would be dumb enough since i have no faith in him if he had similar thinking in trying to use the dumb idea like with all new x-men
of going into outer space in dark phoenix and then put first cass and apocalypse
cast in present.meaning no x-men from early 1990's-late 2010's.i am alreadu worryed jean will become supporting character in dark phoeni with his apparent obsession with keeping all the first class stars.and then danger he would go and have deadpool overshadow x-men.

Exactly its nothing wrong with them being in there 20s lol, actually makes perfect sense.

Although I concur about the fear of having Kinberg lead the X-men in whatever harebrained direction he has concocted, without anyone telling him “No,” which could be what ends up happening when
(1) He’s given directorial reigns;
(2) the other producers are hands-off with X-men Dark Phoenix.
Ultimately, who cares if there are no X-men 1990s and late 2010s?

Technically there were also no X-men in First Class’ 1960s, Days of Future Past’s 1970s. In this new timeline, the X-men aren’t formed until 1983 (no matter what Kinberg’s "X-men Apocalypse" Mystique would have you believe).

Also in MCU there’s no Ironman and Hulk until the late 2000s. No Guardians til 2014 (?). No Dr. Strange til 2016. lol

The idea of having Mystique, but also having even ONE member of the X-Men from the last film sit out this film is trash.

Just as ridiculous as Kinberg directing. It's nuts how little effort white males have to put in the get everything they want. Yet someone like Patty Jenkins goes 12 years without a film.
