2014/2015 NHL Thread: Hawks!

Tough loss for the Rangers tonight, they barely had any good scoring chances even though they outshot them. It was all open angle shots that mean little.

Sorry Canada, after the last 3 days it looks like it's gonna be 22 now without a Cup winner.

Once/if Calgary gets eliminated, I'll be more than happy to go another year without a Cup in Canada.

I'd rather see the Arizona Coyotes win a Cup than to see one again in Montréal.

Caps might have the team that can go far with physical play with their defense and goaltending carrying them. Series is far from over though. Rangers came back last year and all the games in this series have been close. It can easily be the Rangers up 3-1. The Caps style seems to wear down opponents and I think the Rangers are feeling it.

I would like to see the Caps win the next game; otherwise, there will be huge pressure in game 6.

Holtby has been the superior goaltender compared to Lundqvist. While Henrik has left room for very little error, Holtby has made practically none. His team is totally rallying around him. I can't see the Rangers escaping this one sad to say.

****! That was close there at the end! Now a little rest before the WCF. Feeling good.

I think Ovi is do after being silence for two games. Henrik has made some exceptional saves on him the last 2. They really need to convert on the power play. Ovi has been testing Henrik's glove, but Henrik is more vulnerable stick side. He needs to blast one those low short slapshot bombs on the off wing. It's almost unstoppable.

You had ONE job, Capitals.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a win win situation for all other hockey fans. Option 1: Rangers lose, which is always a good thing. :o Option 2: Ovechkin looks like an even bigger ass with his victory guarantee.

Rangers are in the Caps's heads now--Holtby letting up four goals is HUGE for the Blueshirts. Game seven at MSG and our record in elimination games??? Gotta love our chances. Let's Go Rangers!

Hey, the Hype can use all the NHL fans it can get. Even if it is a fan of the stinking Rangers! :argh:

Better than a Habs fan... :cmad:

Everything is better than a Habs fan. A BoSox fan is better than a Habs fan. Kleenex is better than a Habs fan. Cerlox binding is better than a Habs fan. Canola solvent extraction is better than a Habs fan.

Habs fans may be entitled but at least they've got the Cups to back it up. Unlike Ranger fans who act like they're the NHL's version of the Yankees yet have all of one Cup in the last 75 years.

Also, Chris Kreider is human sewage.

Keep this list going.

Kreider is a BEAST! It's not the Rangers who think they're the Yankees of hockey...whatever that means...it's the media. Bright lights, big city--one of the top three destinations for players in the world! While they may not be as prolific as the Scabs, their fans are some of the most passionate the sport has.

a beast that runs the opposing goalie maybe

if by passionate you mean entitled and drunk, then yes, they're passionate.

Well, the Habs are making their tee times, which is exactly where they belong. Now it's up to the Rangers to finish the Caps and move on to the ECF. LGR! Kreider should run Holtby early and take him out...

My Rangers win game 7 in overtime! Holy **** yes!!!! :woot: back to back years now we have come back from 3-1. I love this team always but the last two years has been amazing. We made it to the first al last year and ran into a Kings team that was obviously a beast and beat us 4-1 in the series. But let's not go too ahead we have to face the Lightning right now first coming Saturday.

Very tough team, at least we have home ice but going to be a tough series I am sure. Just happy to advance once again especially after Ovechkin and his soft claim of how they were going to win game 7. Give them a lot of credit though especially Holtby. He stepped it up this year and this playoffs and was a beast, just wasn't enough for my Rangers thank god :)

That was such an amazing series by the Rangers and Caps. I'll hand it to the Caps.....especially Holtby, they played their asses off. I have nothing but respect for them and how they battled. People are going to remember it as the Rangers coming back from 3-1 but the Capitals definitely did not make it easy on them. This was no collapse by any means.

I'm very proud of the NY Rangers. This team and more specifically, the core of players they've put on the ice for the past few years have so much freaking heart. I'm really looking forward to the Tampa series. It's a great matchup, there's a few former Rangers on that team.
