Whoa, my mom was right. Spotlight won (well deserved) but partly because of its huge cast.

Kinda stupid but let's move on......

Not gonna lie, this year's Oscars would have been a lot worse if not for Chris Rock. He was great. But it ended in the best way possible: Michael Keaton and Morgan Freeman eating girl scout cookies while Kool and the Gang played in the background.

10 years of development hell + flooding in the outback + moving entire production to the Namibian desert + filming countless practical effects trumps whatever 'difficulty' he went through.

I don't know about that man, I think it was chilly where they filmed the Revenant
But for real I didn't know any of that about Mad Max. Makes the whole thing that much more impressive, and I'm glad they didn't spend all their time endlessly talking about how difficult the process was.

Well deserved though

For the script and actors sure. But for the rest i'm not sure. Visualy, it felt kinda amateurish. Still a great film, just not sure it deserved Best Picture.

Will do. Saw Revenant the night it came out and liked it a lot, didn't love it but I thought it was quite an achievement. I know about Spotlight but didn't consider seeing it in theaters, will see it as soon as I can, same with Room.
