Um...Batman, Harvey, Harley, Gordon, Rachel....
The character, you mean? Because the actor doesn't. Lots of actors have lisps and have prominent careers - Drew Barrymore, for one. Adam Brody for another.JoeBoxer said:I'm not sure but doesn't bubble boy have a lisp?

Exactly - Batman and Joker are supposed to be complete opposites. If Joker is completely evil, Batman, as the opposite, couldn't be completely good. Know why?Ronny Shade said:no
thats not the point
trustyside-kick said:So in short to some that all up...don't show/do Joker origin for the future Nolan films. :P

Because the logical definition of opposites is that they can't both be true or both be false at the same time. If a person is ambiguous, then calling him completely good would be false, and completely evil would be false.
Joker is the ultimate evil - so he doesn't need an origin. Batman, as his opposite, is ambiguous. Outwardly good, but full of grey area and turmoil. Giving him an origin allows us to explain that Batman is human, whereas the Joker's given up his humanity in the totalness of his cruelty and derangement. Batman is a man, Joker's a primal force for darkness.
How would you like your hell, sir? Well-done? Gift-wrapped? With extra butter?NinjaTurtleFan said:I want his origin story damn it!
I want it how it was supposed to be, not in Burton's version where Joker became Bruce's parents' killer.
I want The Joker to be helpless comic down on his luck for his big break, with a pregnant wife, living in the slums, doing dirty deeds for cash. Then, one day his buddy asks him to accompany him. After a couple of jobs The Joker or 'Jack' is ready for his iniation into The Red Hood Gang.
And then of course...you know the rest of the story.
Give me that or give me hell!

JoeBoxer said:you know the idea of Joker telling people different stories of his origins is not that great of an idea it would take way too long, i don't know if it would work. also i'm not sure who there is to tell.
JoeBoxer said:think about it why would joker or the movie take it's time to tell his story several times. And I'm pretty sure in the comics aswell he doesn't tell anyone his backround that's why he is unkown and mysterious. Also if they were to just show it instead they wouldn't have to give out info just the event that caused him to be joker (Red Hood).

trustyside-kick said:Ya, basically he would only tell people about it that he could see himself gaining something in return; sympathy, services, etc...Harley is a good example of that.

ang_hulk said:I think that the writers have to decide if joker will be batmans arch nemisis as he is in the comic(in which case the more back round we get the better especilly having to do with his child hood, bruces loving parents vs jokers dirt bags with legs) or will he be a villian, one of the many run of the mills not to return ever agian.if thats the case then who cares about what made the man that became the joker, they should instead focus on what made the joker and be done with it.
if hes to be the nemisis i nice flashback scene would be ras explaining ying and yang "there is an evil for every good bruce, even ours, even you" kind of thing ya know?
trustyside-kick said:Ya...and seeing how one of the people you listed was Harvey Dent...and seeing how Goyer mentioned Joker being on trial and throwing the acid on Dent..check this out:
Don't you think it would be cool if Joker tells Harvey about his "rough" past in order to gain his sympathy and maybe try to make his sentence not as bad? Then during the trial Joker betrays him and throws the acid.![]()
If Joker were to tell Gordon here is what I think would be cool. He would tell Gordon and then Gordon like spits at him not caring and crap because he sees the Joker for what he is.
Telling Bats? Hmm, that is a hard one. But I guess as a distraction during a battle? Talk some smack bring up his past and whip out some weapon to fight dirty? Over the course of the battle he could tell him parts of his past to distract Bats.
