I don't like the photography of this clip... a hospital/ medical base so dark? who's the director of photography? there is the soap's light, like the bold and the beautiful

There seems to be something off in this opening sequence to me. First, is there a power outage or something? Why the hell is it so friggin dark through the hall ways and even in the trauma center? Second everyone seems so stiff in that waiting area to me.

It seems that the director wanted mood lighting for that scene. The characters' mood was dark, so was the lighting. Either that or s/he has never been inside a real hospital, where the fluorescent lights are blazing brighter than the noonday sun 24/7.

The strangest thing about that clip was Coulson's eagerness to subject Skye to the same treatments he received. Just three episodes (and a lifetime) ago he was screaming in agony, begging to be allowed to die because of the torment those same treatments caused him. He was angry and disturbed at the memory, as well he should have been. But now he's willing to put his pet project through that same torture and is going to fight SHIELD and Fury to do so. Why? Either the process was a fate worse than death that Coulson shouldn't wish on his worst enemy or all that horror we were shown was meaningless.

He wants those people for their experience beyond norm in "extreme" life and death circumstances as they may have something to stop her from dieing. The tech that they used on Coulson brought him back from being the dead after he was dead for awhile. I'm thinking he's thinking if they hurry they may have something they could use for Skye as although she's in bad shape, she's not in the shape he was, as she's still alive (although barely).

That said, if they offer the exact same treatment to them for Skye that they did to Coulson and Coulson has no problem putting Skye through it, that would make no sense, so I'm thinking there will be an alternative route they will pick.

Or it could be he's realized what its like to have the shoe on the other foot.

I got the feeling he was simply exploring last ditch options rather than being willing to immediately hook her up to the horrible brain pokey robot.

i agree.. i think he was just trying to get to shield;s secret high technologies/expertise that can save a person's life

Keyword phrase in that scene was "Life Support". Meaning she is not technically dead. Coulson got shanked by an alien scepter and was dead for days, kind of a big difference there.

Are they at a regular hospital or is this a shield hospital? Sorry silly question.

SHIELD, there's a big medical style SHIELD logo on the doors that close after the doctors take Skye away and leave Coulson and Simmons behind at about the 0:25 mark in that video clip (side note: assuming they're possibly in Germany somewhere since I believe the word on the door, SCHOCKRAUM, is a german word (someone who actually knows german is free to correct me if I'm wrong on that)

Ya so you people nitpicking over the hospital lighting, it isn't a normal hospital, it's a SHIELD hospital.

Oh ok ddidn't know SHIELD hospital personnel required night vision in their facilities

they are a secret shield hospital where robots do the operations :D

I don't speak German but it sounds like that might mean "Shock Room" or Emergency Room in English.

Here's the thing... Coulson still doesn't even know HOW he was brought back. ALl he knows at this point is that he had his memories changed. He didn't like the pain of working on his brain and having those memories tampered with. SKye wouldn't need that -- she'd just need the miracl cure that he got, that he really doesn't even know what it was.

Hence I think we're close to finding out HOW he was brought back.
