Well...and I think it's safe for me to start posting spoilers about the film given on how long it's been out now, Stark now has a legitimate beef with Hydra now due to the info about how Hydra are the ones responsible for his parents' deaths.

Plus, Baron did state in the post credit scene on how he'd have no problem giving off some of the Hydra bases for Captain America and his "colorful" friends to take down in order for himself and his main projects to remain in secrecy.

Not to mention, Banner and Stark were both targeted by Hydra in "TWS", so I'm sure that reason alone would be enough to get them to take action against the group.

And if Thor is serious about protecting the Earth, then he'll take on Hydra as well when he comes across them.

And Coulson knows these things? I was not basing my earlier comment on the actual beliefs of the characters but what Coulson probably perceives at that time. Right now we are still within days of the Triskelion battle and there is very little comms between Shield.

Until he meets up with Hill/Fury he won't really understand the full details of what went down in TWS

I think my fave bit was when the Hydra agent did the Heil Hydra with both arms up and Garrett basically told him he looked like a cheerleader.

What was the agent talking about though when he said they lost the cube? Couldn't have been the tesseract.

The Cube a Shield facility it's been used as a prison for alien criminals, and in Avengers EMH it was used for Gamma criminals, Abomination, the Leader etc

Awesome episode. I felt so bad for Coulson through the entire thing though... like Skye said to May, his whole world has just fallen apart, everything he's fought for, everything he DIED for, and add that to all the other stuff he's been through the last couple months or so, it really is just an emotional breakdown/at the end of his rope and Gregg acted the hell out of it. He gets two thumbs up from me!:up:

Need to watch it again, make sure I caught everything (deciding to stay up and watch it when I was already tired - maybe not the best idea :funny:) so I might have more thoughts later.

Glenn Talbot will be a pain in the ass XD I love him.
Imho Koenig seems like Desmond in the second season of Lost, forgotten here, in his Hatch XD

Loved the episode, It's a preparation to the season finale

Does Marvel have the rights back to punisher? I'd love to see Punisher take out Garret and Ward.

Maybe Bucky now realizing that Cap told him the truth, goes on a vigilante rampage against Hydra, and the people who lied to him and he can rip Ward's head off with his bionic arm.

yes, punisher is back at marvel

Got it, thanks.

I was really hoping we'd get a shot of Abomination, but I know the budget doesn't allow it.

For a second even though the fridge clearly isn't in Alaska, when Ward blasted the hole in the floor and what looked like water vapour coming from a cold environment came out the hole, I was like :hubba I didn't think we would see abomination just maybe knowledge that he was let free.

But then I came to my senses, anyway I loved the mention of the cube, we have heard/seen about a bunch of Shield facilities in this show, but as far as I'm aware only the Triskelion has not been made up for this show before the Cube mention.

Maybe the temperatures are maintained at close to zero just to torture the prisoners or to break them

Yep. It looked terrible :funny:

Agreed

Ward being a villain is the best thing they could of done with the character. I hope Ward doesn't switch sides again and try to become a hero if he survives this season.

I noticed that :woot:

Just like his comics counterpart. The first comic I ever saw Garret in was a Punisher issue in which he was a cyborg.

Garret's got his own agents of Hydra. I would like to see Von Strucker show up and give Garret some orders.

I hoped Abomination would show up but I knew they probably don't have the budget to do him on the show.

Talbot will be back. Adrian Pasdar voices Iron Man in all of Marvels animated tv shows and movies so Marvel probably have him on speed dial.

I think Garrett doesnt really believe in Hydra's philosophy. He seems more of a opportunistic personality who would betray or switch sides in an instant if the odds were not in favor...

Loved the reference to the Griffin. This means nothing is off limits; bring on the Mandrill, Tigra, Devil Dinosaur, and other animal/human hybrids

When Simmons says that she "getting better at lying" what could that possibly mean?

Bill Paxton hamming it up every episode is becoming a highlight for me. That cheerleader comment had me rolling.

Ward reminds me of Alex Krycek from X-Files. I really hope they don't 'triple agent' agent Ward. Keeping him an evil bastard is much more entertaining. I hope they continue to show his level of depravity.

Now I'm holding out for a Ward/Skye torture scene. :awesome:

Tonight's episode pretty much nailed down who's responsible for the TAHITI bunker and Coulson's resurrection.....and asks even *more* questions.

We can now say beyond the shadow of a doubt that the bunker was one of Fury's secret bases that neither HYDRA nor mainstream SHIELD knew about, just like Agent Koenig's "Providence" tonight. But we now know that *someone else* was responsible for running the operation on Coulson, and Fury seems to be the only one who knows who that is.

Still, I gotta question Fury's defense parameters for these secret bunkers. So far, the pattern has been a single automated turret on a bunker out in the wilderness somewhere; other than that, you've got one, maybe two less than trustworthy field agents manning these stations. Fury's main orders for them seems to be "blow up the bunker and kill yourself if it ever gets raided; make sure all the evidence/materials are destroyed."

Not really Fury's style. I gotta say he's slacking. :o
lol love your Avvy Sam lol

This.

Interesting that Ward has not said Hail Hydra yet

Interesting that Ward has not said Hail Hydra yet

Yeah, and he had a big opportunity to do so last episode when he shot agent Hand and the camera lingered on him for a few seconds. I definitely noticed he hailed no hydra.

If the writers are angling for a triple agent reveal, they will have to explain those murders. And it better be convincing or I'll be pretty disappointed.

Keep calm and trust Coulson.
Future Director of the New SHIELD. :word:

I'm wondering if Fury will turn over the keys to the (totalled) car in the season finale? Remove the omnipresent logos and the stockpiles of weaponry. Return SHIELD to a much smaller footprint as a spy agency.

Funding could be a problem, but given HYDRA involvement in
his parents murder
Stark may just put all of his money into cutting off the heads.
