Right now, Superman, we need this you right now.

I don't think it's impossible for Clark Kent to come back, to be honest. His funeral was very small, and I would not be surprised if most people at his funeral already knew that Clark and Superman were one in the same. So it could be retconned easily, I suspect.

His death was shown in a small newspaper clipping as a casualty from the carnage at the Doomsday fight. Pretty easy sell to say he died reporting at the scout ship location.

*whispers* Justice League

So, do you think if Snyder is allowed to carry on with the JL movie, it'll be a lot more hopeful, light and more 'in the sun'? Because everything I've seen of the way Zack Snyder thinks would indicate that this is not likely to be the case?

Snyder makes his brand of films. without WB insisting he go ''lighter'', I expect him to continue making things the way he wants to.
I'm not saying it's good or bad, it depends on if you like MoS and BvS or not.

I'm completely fine with the tone. I just want a film that's competently edited, written etc.

Snyder failed in some of these aspects.

Question:
Was Flash's scene supposed to be a reference to this:

Yes. Snyder pulled a lot of things from different comics. People saying that's out of nowhere...well that was supposed to be.

I think if they had shown more of Lex in the ship those scenes would have made more sense.

This looks familiar, what was it from again?
I think it was from Kingdom Come, the book where Superman returns and he fights against the now more aclaimed by people Anit-Heroes and out of that argument and many other things grows a major disaster.

There's a way to effectively make Clark Kent/Superman secret identity work, but Zack Snyder and David Goyer clearly aren't interested in that.

It really does feel like these movies were made by people who don't like Superman.

Whether or not they like the character is one thing, but I certainly don't think they understand him.

Saw this on Twitter. Mamoa with his Aquaman tatoos. Apparently its from today so looks like Justice League is still coming.

The man doesn't understand how to make a good film nevermind understanding superman.

Wouldn't be surprised if Momoa got them legit tattooed on one of his drunken benders. :woot:

They're not going to cancel it. The chance of that is below 10%. If anything they'll let Snyder shoot as planned (maybe shorten the shooting schedule) then delay after wrapping to bring someone else in to polish. Happens a lot. People just don't notice.

I get what they're going for with their take, but it sort of doesn't make sense.

They portray him as this being that can't relate to humans, but it's not like Clark lived in total isolation his entire life. He grew up around other kids, he worked with other people while traveling the world. Him being so distant from humanity (outside of Lois and his mother) doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I also don't understand how EVERYONE doesn't know that Clark Kent is Superman. He told the U.S. government that he was from Kansas. Everybody knows Zod and his soldiers tore went to the Kent farm and tore up Smallville. Pete Ross clearly knew. Clark outright told a Priest from his home town who he was. Lois was able to learn his identity. [BLACKOUT]Lex obviously figured it out.[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]But apparently the worlds greatest detective and the U.S. government never put two and two together.[/BLACKOUT]

It's like one one had they keep saying they want to handle Superman as if he existed in the real world, but then they do things that clearly fly in the face of that. Given how reckless Clark was with his identity there's no way in hell he wouldn't have been outted LONG before Batman v Superman.

May I just say again how effing stoked I am that Momoa is Aquaman?

[BLACKOUT]Killing Jimmy Olsen, Perry making the 1938 joke, killing Clark Kent, "Nobody gets to stay good in this world"[/BLACKOUT]

...Yeah.

tHAT 1938 joke annoyed me a lot.

Killing Jimmy Olsen was ridiculous in and of itself, but reading Snyder call that "having fun with the character" is what took it over the top for me. That's "fun" apparently.

True. I did not like how Luthor just knew his and Batman's identity.
