I thought the CGI on Doomsday looked pretty damn good. There were a few shots, specifically some close-ups of his face, where it looked surprisingly real.
However, the rest of the CGI t in the third act was pretty bad. The other day someone posted a side-by-side comparison of a cutscene from Injustice and the shot of Wonder Woman leaping in BvS and it really drove this point home.

DD did not need that stupid energy/electricity **** aye

This. People don't understand that dark and serious films can still be fun. Mad Max was a dark film, people die in brutal ways and rape is a subject that's tackled in the film, but it was still fun. Casino Royale was a serious Bond flick, but it was loads of fun.

That's what WB needs to realize. Fun doesn't necessarily equal adding more quips and sight gags.
Was about to say something similar, DC doesn't really need to add quipping and jokeses in every moment of the movies but not deny any joke in the movie, the fun comes from the movie and characters itself.

I predicted the abysmal treatment of Superman despite the positivity police slamming me.But the truth was I so wanted to be wrong.

I wasn't.I am heartbroken at the treatment of Superman in this.Heartbroken

Then you need to find a better hobby. These are fictional characters - no need to be heartbroken about anything.

Let's not tell someone how upset they should be over a highly anticipated, big budget movie mishandling characters that we all love. As a life-long Spider-man fan I understand being heartbroken.

Anybody expecting a different treatment for superman was naive, imo. WB has consistently shown it doesn't know how to handle that property.

Funny thing is Cavill kept hinting at his disappointment with the Supes potrayalvin before the movie.I pointed it out but people remained in denial

What'd he say that implied this?

They're not going to cancel it. The chance of that is below 10%. If anything they'll let Snyder shoot as planned (maybe shorten the shooting schedule) then delay after wrapping to bring someone else in to polish. Happens a lot. People just don't notice.

This is very depressing news Poni boy.
so your saying Nothing changes? They continue on script with a chappy director and a chappy script

Whatever it was was unnecessary imo and it made DD feel like a final boss in a video game.
It did feeled like a bad Metal Gear/Final Boss monster fight at the end, i mean i liked it but it felt like that.

And you should probably not go out of your way to be rude and tell people how they should feel. We're on a superhero message board because these are characters we love and care about. If you don't feel that way, that's fine, but I think it's a bit silly to act like you don't understand that reaction when you're frequenting a website that only 99% of the general public don't even know exists.

They've already sunk so much time and money into developing JL that it would shock me if they did any major re-tooling. Snyder seems safe just because of the resources they've already put into his vision.

I understand having passion for these characters (heck, my favorite character: Aquaman is treated as a joke, even among comic book fans). Disappointed, I can understand too (although I don't agree with that sentiment regarding Superman in BvS).

But, being heartbroken about something like this is just silly, especially considering the issues we are facing in real world.

Oh changes are inevitable at this point. Whether we hear about them is a different story.

Too lazy to find the exact quote but he more or less said the whole Superman would have to take a backseat due to the difficulty in getting his character right. He wasn't pleased but he understood.Pretty much confirmed to ne that Bvs was gonna be a Bat movie

There's a degree of revisionist history that goes on with this film.

People act as if Batman V Superman was always the planned follow up film and that was why Man of Steel ended the way it did. Man of Steel 2 was supposed to be the follow up and that's what everyone was being told right up until BvS was announced. Then they tried saying BvS was the sequel to MoS, then a few months later they claimed BvS wasn't a sequel.

From an outsider looking in it just sounds like the development process was chaotic from the moment they realized MoS was going to under perform.

It's like they continually operate from the position that Superman is a flawed character that needs to be fixed. We see this with DC comics also, they constantly try new things with Superman that never work and rarely stick long term.

The stuff that seems to work the best is usually the stuff that isn't concern with "Fixing" Superman but just want to tell good stories with the character.

Best case scenario at this stage, I guess. If someone like George Miller or Greg Berlanti could step in (wishful thinking) and shape the film in such as way as to dilute Snyder's dudebro, wrongheadedness, that would be good.

Yep. There's a reason he was so happy about them shooting JL so early.

Still depressing.Jl needs Big changes to work not some minor secret changes

Bingo

As long as in the best case scenario the Berlanti package doesn't come with Guggenheim.

Wow. I really want to find this quote, that says a lot.

Did someone say bring in Berlanti? I just spit my coffee out. The only thing he can do is write superhero love triangles.
