Has it been determined if the set photos with the stuntman in mocap suit with two foot pole attached to head is going to be Non? I could only imagine the reason for it was to give Cavill an 8' target for him to looking at for a very large character, most likely CGI.

very large I believe is about the only thing we know about that character. Non maybe....Mongul possibly...who knows

Really? I think it was smart. It's not coming across as a typical superman film, but something different. It's really showing us the tone of the film.

IMO, teasers like this are great to get the us all talking. I loved it :) (not saying you didn't btw, as you said you did lol)

How many Superman films have felt action packed? Certainly not the last one. Lack of action was the main complaint from the GA about SR. They don't care about the other stuff that fans complain about.

I like the trailer, it wasn't exactly what I hoped to see but it gives me chills seeing "Man of Steel" then Supes flying upward then the S logo. I can't wait to see the next trailer!

The images of what appears to be a young Clark with red cape/clothes is great.

I almost called foul when I started hearing "The Bridge of Khaza-doom" theme behind the teaser, but I'll be damned if it didn't tug at my heart strings!

I like both versions, but I definitely love Russel Crowe's Jor-El narration. Very good casting decision there. There's something very majestic about the imagery they used and I think that's the most appropriate way to see Superman on the screen. Can't wait to see more!

I'm very curious to see Clark Kent/Superman alone. We never got to really see that part of the character on screen, I always felt the portrayal was one-dimentional. So I'm very happy that we're going to see the real Kal El, and not a dumb Clark Kent interacting with other people. You know what I mean?

Reporter Clark is not dumb. Awkward maybe but not dumb.

I know, I know, I didn't want to disrespect him (!).

I'm just saying, it'll be nice to see how adult Kal El is, how he behaves as himself, not trying to act awkward.

Definitely, I'm one of those odd people who love Reporter Clark Kent as much as Superman.

I don't want Reporter Clark to be too over the top if we get the chance to see see him. He probably won't be in this film though.

Okay I gotcha.

anyone think snyder's portrayal of nite owl will help him get ready for a daily planet clark kent?

nite owl is essentially clark kent without the nite owl suit

and he was'nt portrayed and dumb or goofy

Definitely not over the top say as Christopher Reeve's version, maybe even more like the Superman: The Animated series Clark Kent. I've always like to view Reporter Clark awkward but very intelligent and maybe even witty.

 it's Khazad-dûm!!

But I do agree, brilliant choice of music, even if it was from WAAAAYYY outta left field.

Yeah I was completely aware I was misspelling it. :woot: Couldn't be helped!

I mean, it's still hard for me to take in since I love LOTR so much, but I can't say it didn't do the job. It added to the majesty of the whole thing and I really hope the tone of the film reflects it in some way.

Tolkien would be ashamed of your offense :oldrazz:

I'm very interested in hearing what Zimmer has in store for this film score-wise.

did not realize weta was doing the effects

this movie is going to be so

pretty

the trailer was depressing?

I must have watched the wrong one, cause the one I saw was inspiring

Indeed they do, what other films have WETA done the fx for (besides LOTR).

Yes it was. Doesn't mean this teaser was a bad move.

The next theatrical trailer is where we'll see more action, no doubt.

I loved this teaser. Just like I did BB and TASM. What each trailer did was show the tone of the film, how different they will be compared to the previous iterations of the character.

As the comic con trailer showed, it looks like this film will have plenty of action (hopefully) and we'll see that officially come December (fingers crossed).
