All Things Superman: An Open Discussion - - - - Part 13

I don't really get the connection you're trying to make between the creative team being tight-lipped and the movie being like "The Dark Knight Rises." Obviously they cannot talk about the film yet. End of story.

I didn't say the movie MOS will be like TDKR. I was basically saying that I hope when actors or writers are asked about the movie that it isn't like TDKR where actors basically couldn't say anything.

Anyone else think this is from an actual draft of the MOS script? Some things really sound legit. Others kind of, but it's possible that scenes have been altered since the time that this article was made.

One of the things it explains is why Clark is working as a fisherman and on an oil rig.

That's confirmed as fake. The poster who did came right out and said it.

Well damn. Sorry about that.

I guess Superman won't be stopping a train in MoS? I was really looking forward to that.

Well, we do know by set photos that there is a incident (attack) that takes place at a train station, but the details surrounding that scene are still a mystery.

Was there a rumor has been confirmed that Shannon will be wearing a moc cap suit for armor or something to that effect?
That was comfirmed around this time last year by shannon. When shannon comfirmed he was wearing a mocap suit for zod, Alot of people was like why do zod need armor ain't he invincible like superman.Okay we know they gonna show alot of krypton in mos.

The dude run the military on krypton. No powers on krypton, He basically human there and can be hurt. The armor make sense. Also shannon said they couldn't make a partial suit, it had to be cgi.He said if they tryed to make a suit of what they wanted him to wear he wouldn't be able to move because it's very big, bulky, massive. You can see how big it is in the comic con trailer when him and superman flying at each other.

When he get to earth he probably won't be as strong as superman at first and the armor will be used to kinda even the playing field untill he get stronger. We know at some point he'll don that all black suit we seen him in.

Plus on IMDB there seem to be people cast as 'Train Mom' 'Train Dad' and 'Train Girl' 'Train Ticket Buyer' 'Train Station Commuter' 'Metropolis Commuter' and 'Train Station Survivor' ...

Well, I guess the (oh, since this is the spoiler forum I won't be putting these posts in the spoiler brackets, particularly as these are only minor spoilers and we'll no doubt be seeing these things in the trailers/clips) robot army makes sense in a lot of ways. Robots/soldiers in metal armor is probably the easiest thing to create in terms of VFX and also something that is probably the best looking/cheapest. It also means Superman can punch and smash his enemies in anyway he pleases, since they are not living beings. And finally, people love their robots.

As for Black Zero and the gravity beam (as seen in the CC trailer), that could be an interesting way to challenge Superman because I guess he would have to both figure out a way to stop it and save the people in the vehicles going up to the sky...and then crashing down when the beam goes offline. :oldrazz:

If the clips aren't fake, of course.

I'm reposting this here, because I know many people (like myself) don't always check the other threads. And much of the revealed spoiler info in these clips has been discussed at length in this thread.
Ummmm............

Wow. Just...

...

Okay, that answers quite a bit actually.

And I guess that's what mo-cap man is - a robot?

Also, it made me think of Brainiac, as an early possible villain. Because he could've led a robot army as well.

I didn't expect there to be that much tech/sci-fi. I can see why they chose Zod, to have a "human" leader for all these robots, but also have Kryptonians to test Kal-El's loyalties, and also have a superpowered human to fight, not just robots.

Lots of fun details to glean from these spots, as goofy as they might be. I think it can be confirmed, as stated before, that the Fortress is now a ship. The design of the Black Zero ship looks similar to the description that was leaked within the last couple of months. The gravity beam matches up with one particular shot from the Comic Con trailer. We can get our first clear look at Zod's shield, which again matches up with the description leaked (and then taken down) within the last couple of months.

Also, one of the launchers in the "Flight" ad looks like baby Kal-El's ship.

So what does that mean- Zod lands on Earth with the ship, then Superman takes Zod's Black Zero ship after he defeats Zod and makes the Fortress at the end of the movie?

EDIT: Oh wait, I got confused with the commercials, and which was the Fortress of Solitude.

The concept art-based spoilers from back in September said Black Zero (or Black Zone, as it was called then) was a prison ship, with guards shown patrolling each room. That must be how Zod & other Kryptonians survive, and it could be that the guards are robots that Zod then uses as soldiers in his attack on Earth.

It does seem likely that they will be following after "Earth One" and have Superman actually pilot the Fortress ship against the Black Zero craft.

Ah, okay. I kind of skimmed those concept-art spoilers because I didn't want to get too spoiled. There goes that, what with these toy commercials giving it away haha.

Fighting a robot army? Avengers part deux?

Avengers did not invent fighting invading alien and/or robot armies.

Could be, I also thought the mocap guy was zod as well. Wonder how close the toy is to the movie version.

Hopefully with the movie being in post production for such an extended time we see finished Vfx when they decide to release pics so I don't have to read about how bad unfinished fx look.

Yeah...um this sounds cool. More sci-fi then I was expecting.

OK, I'm lost. What is the "Fortress ship"?
