I'm putting my bets in on MOS2 being all Lex. With him psychologically breaking Supes down over battle for the heart of Metropolis. Similar to TDK Joker by making Supes make impossible judgement calls and murdering innocents.

MOS3 I can see Snyder doing Doomsday. Not the bland version from the comics. But some reimagined Kryptonian monster that can just break Supes. It's not necessarily what I would do (I'd much rather see the trilogy end with Superman transcending Earth and laboring in the sun ala All-Star).

Yeah. For the final film, I hope they do the Death of Superman storyline, with elements of All-Star Superman incorporated.

I don't think I want a straight up adaptation of either.

Yeah, the AllStar-thing was way better than anything Doomsday. He shouldnt be allowed into this franchise.

I don't agree. I think Doomsday, if significantly revised, could be good.

I'm not saying he should be the main and/or only villain of the film, but I think he could make for an, at least visually, interesting villain on film.

I don't think i want a thematic carbon copy of the dark knight trilogy.

Yeah I could have cared less for Bane before TDKR, but I see his value as a villain now.

Plus I just think since we were close to getting a Doomsday film in the 90s it just seems like something WB would do.

I would love to see All-Star adapted for film. I'd just cut the more literary elements (samson and atlas, bizzaro world) and I think you end up with a pretty tight film that could easily be translated. Even having Lois have superpowers for a little bit would be a nice inversion of the first superman film with Superman flying her to now being Supes' equal. Plus superpowered Lex transforming Metropolis into his totalitarian state. Just think having something as simple as Superman saving the goth girl from suicide would have a big impact on the mainstreams opinion on Superman. It's such a powerful scene in the comic. Imagine if translated to a live scene.

Yeah, another reason why I dont want Doomsday, especially for the third part. Like you say. I'm sure they could write something different if they want that same earth-shattering battle onscreen.

Ha. Neither do I. Look how close other films are mimicking Nolans though. I just saw Skyfall and Javier Bardems character went through the same beats as Ledgers Joker (getting captured on purpose, etc) same for Loki in Avengers.

Plus Doomsday or Darkseid in the final film of the trilogy (if it ever happens) would be quickly distinguishable from Bane just by their nature. It's just final film you gotta up the power and physicality of the villain yknow.

Please not Metallo or Parasite in this series.
Tired of seeing a de-powered superman fighting on screen.

What this series needs to do for it's second installment is attack a well known arc. The hype at that point would be fever and perfect for such a thing.

I doubt we'll ever get either of these. Only cause Metallo is too visually similar to the Terminator. As for the Parasite, I can't see a slob who eats a radioactive donut (Geoff Johns Secret Origins) carrying a film.

What a second MOS film really needs is a great first film.

Exactly.

Within the next 10 minutes everyone share the countdown and let's see how much we can increase it by. It's been for 59% for hours!

To the people who are questioning the actors. All I can say is. Christopher Nolan has not missed on picking good ones. His people put these cast togather. It will be good.

I remember when Heath Leger was announced as the Joker, How people flipped out he was going to flop. That turned out ok.

Heh it turned out a bit better than just ok.

I'm sure Metallo could be done other than looking like a terminator. Hate that version myself, and there have been better.

I'm also sure we wont be spared from Superman being exposed to kryptonite, although I prefer it be used by Lex in a new way.

I'm thinking since it's moving at around ~10% per day now we might get the 'exclusive' on Monday. (Isn't that when we've traditionally gotten new stuff anyway for this film?)

I just think if we all like it at around the same time we can see how much it's going to take to get it to increase.

But yeah I'm guessing Monday!

I would love for it to be around 70 % by the end of today, i doubt that will happen.

If Lex ends up being the villian for a sequel than I think we would get a reference to him at the end of MOS. Like thy did with the Joker in Batman Begins. Obviously, this movie trilogy doesn't have to follow the same exact blueprint of the Batman trilogy but since we have the same screenwriter I wouldn't be surprised if they leave a clue to a sequel.

Agreed. Even if it's just some Lexcorp reference as a company that vows to clean up and restore the no doubt battle-torn city.

It would be funny if we get to 99% and then drop down to 27%

Whatever happened to Super-sundays?

I'm wondering if they don't try and tie this in with the upcoming JL film.

Jus thinking out loud here, but i'd do an after credits thing, or even make it the final scene.

camera POV, The Earth. all looks well after the massive fight between supes and zod. Camera faces the Earth from space then slowly turns toward deepspace and rockets off. Its flying faster and faster now. Past our planets, then soon other solar systems, comets, etc etc are seen and left behind.
Camera stops at a fiery planet. It flies down to the surface, and flies on over it, dodging flames leaping up out of the ground.

It finally comes to a huge dark fortress. miles long and tall. Camera flies through a window and down a massive hall. It stops before a being dressed strangely. The figure reaches out and peers into the camera lens, studying it. what we thought was a camera was really a probe.

''Master'', the strange being calls out. ''we have found him. He's on a planet called earth.''

We then see a throne with a huge figure cloaked in shadow sitting upon it. He has two glowing red eyes thats peering out from the darkness.

With a booming voice the huge figure orders, ''Prepare the parademons''.

end.

IMVHO It would make a good setup for a sequel, JL or not.
