I remember someone saying that maybe things went quiet so they could push Smallville's Finale and let that have one last moment to shine.

Smallville had its moment (how well they utilized it is a different discussion). I'd really appreciate it if WB got back to getting us excited about the new movie. I can't wait for a logo to come out... maybe by start of principal photography? You'd think so, at least, right?

with bane's picture and the new GL trailer being released today, i wouldn't be surprised if something Superman related comes up tomorrow. Besides wasn't Cavill announced as Superman on a saturday?

Given that the film is still targeted for a winter 2012 release, I wonder if that means that we may be able to expect some of the cast and the film to have a panel for next summer's comic con?

No, it was on a sunday. I think costner was announced on a sunday as well.

I want them to announce Lex, the composer and show us a pic of the Superman shield and/or a pic of Cavill in costume. I definitely want to know about Jor-El, Lara, Perry White and the rest of the cast & crew, but those are the ones I want to know about the most.

I remember SHH having the exclusive reveal of the Superman Returns S in April of 2005. Hopefully Snyder will actually do what he said he would and release a pic of the costume by the time they start filming.

I agree. It's been a while since there's been an announcement. They should say who's been cast for those roles you mentioned (including Lex) and I think that on Superman's birthday (in June) they should release a pic of HR with the Superman costume.

I hope so too, but I'm also following the new Spider-Man flick and they still haven't announced the composer and certain actors even though they are actively filming.

I would guess we're going to see the first shot of Batman in June at the latest and the first shot of Superman in July, the latest August.
