And you're stating that as a fact.

Yes, of course. Naturally, I don't make claims that I don't believe are true. Is there a problem with that?

You seem to have misinterpreted my criticism of Excelsior's comment; I take no issue with him stating something as a fact. Rather, I take issue with him stating it as if it were iron-clad, when I disagree that it is so straight-forward.

Have I made myself clear enough for you?

Yeah, I'm still definitely very happy that we got the team that we did to be in charge of this film.

Snyder with his visuals and direction with the actors.

Goyer with his pitch and story.

And Nolan with his resources, influence with the studio, and story input.

With a team like that behind Superman's helm, especially when they get that the point is not to make Superman more darker but more real and that he's a far different creature than the likes of Batman and respects him for who he is at his core...that says it all.

Nicely put. On top of that, the last time a Batman creative team took on Superman, we got STAS. Just feels right to have people on board that have done a great job with Batman, yet get Superman and understand that he is a fundamentally different character. In the past it's yielded good results. I like the idea of some cohesion between DC's two greatest characters, even if they're not literally in the same continuity as was the case with the two animated shows.

And honestly, Snyder could very well be that extra special ingredient that takes this to the next level. I think we've barely gotten a taste of the scale of the action this movie will bring.

Very well put

My expectation levels are through the roof right now,I must calm down and be mindful of my thoughts :jedi

"And the Oscar for best Cinematography goes to...Amir Mokri for Man of Steel!"

Wonder what MOS will get nominated for?

Yup, i'm expecting great things with this movie.

It's hard to not get a little bit more hyped over the news of how the screening of MOS for execs, crew and family members went. :yay:

Crazy to think they pretty much saw the finished product given when the score was complete and I wonder if the screening had anything to do with the rumours of WB cooling their heels over a JLA movie to focus on a MOS trilogy and Batman reboot before moving full steam ahead with Justice League?

Also the Man of Steel Trailer #2 is now officially WB most viewed video on their YouTube channel with over 27,444,737 views. :wow:

That's awesome. I hope the final trailer for MOS is another big hit on social media sites and the internet.

Oddly enough, the same thing that's happening today was happening back in the 90s when Burton was gonna direct Superman Lives. The same director, the same writer (Wesley Strick), the same producer (Jon Peters), even one of the same actors, Nicholson, who was supposedly voicing a variation of the Eradicator. It's like they say, the more things change, the more they stay the same. Snyder+Goyer+Nolan tickles my fancy somewhat more than Burton+Strick+Peters, though, but that's just me...

Yeah it is. I just thought it was cool given the amount of doom and gloom here about WB not marketing the movie enough etc etc that the second trailer released managed to score more views and hits in less time than a trailer for a sequel to one of their biggest franchises.

Fully agree with this post, and I think we will see the most amazing mindblowingly original action and FX ever put on screen, with the beautiful look and feel we saw in the trailers and all wrapped up in a great Superman story,Snyder,I love you man,the film hasn't even come out yet and I still want your children! :hrt:

the trailers we have see have been amazing ...zack snyder made 300 amazing movie still one of my favs ....he made watchmen amazing movie ...how can this not be amazing

did anyone else get the vibe from watchmen that one of the characters really resembled cr clark kent?

yes night owl ...snyder was born for these movies ...he is the closest director we could get with young richard donner vision i think

I think I'm the only person who actually wanted the director we got before he was chosen.

It's silly but what first got my attention was the Leonidus' cape in 300 lol Then it was how he filmed the prison break fight scene in Watchmen and how he made it page for page out of the novel. I was begging for a team up with him and the Dark Knight team some kind of way... I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT ACTUALLY HAPPEN. :wow:

Yeah, there's no fun to be found in being cynical.

I'm not deliberately being cynical by crushing my enthusiasm. I'm just indifferent because I've heard this sort of thing too many times. Rumors are nearly meaningless.

You know what does have me excited? The footage I've seen with my own eyes that looks amazing.

At least the test screening rumor is a positive one and not a negative one. Imagine how everyone would be freaking out if Latino Review said the execs hated it.

I still wouldn't care all that much. TASM was hammered by Sony's own execs but I loved it.

i saw that cape in the 300 and said the same thing ...if anyone can bring a comic to life its this guy

I'm actually hoping that Snyder will use his experiences with MOS to further venture out into actual locations and film there as opposed to just primarily filming on sound stages and set pieces. From what we've seen of the scenes involving actual locations, he's really managed to capture the best of the scenery.

Plus, I"m just glad that I'm finally getting to see a version of Superman that's presented in a very realistic take of our world in terms of how everyone will react to someone like him debuting for the first time.

It just makes that whole moment, for when he finally receives a universal applause from everyone after saving the day, feel more special if he's earned it after overcoming several obstacles in the process.

I prefer being a pessimist and having my expectations exceeded rather than being an optimist and having them let down.

I will never get the fun in that.

An exciting and fun journey towards the goal is worth any possible let down imo. And that's merely a possible let down mind you.

Now of course if I hated everything I saw or heard from a movie I wouldn't be optimistic just for the sake of it. In this case though, I love almost everything I've seen and heard of it so far, so it would only be boring to try to hold my excitement back.

Each to his own I guess. :)

More like keeping your expectations in check.

Also, Titanic, Avatar, and Transformers 2 are among the highest grossest movies of all time. That doesn't say much for the movie tastes of most people.

Hey, I love both Titanic and Avatar (and TDKR too for that matter) – and I'm definitely not most people.

I think it's possible to let yourself be very excited without having particular expectations. At least that's how I try to handle it.

It's not really surprising that they've had such a positive reaction.

If we get as good as a movie as we see in the trailer, plus all the rumored action, we could be talking about the best comic book movie to date.

I'm with you on that one. Some people say it's better to keep your expectations low and be pleasantly surprised. Way I see it, if I tried to suppress my own excitement for something...if it does turn out to be awesome, I'd regret all the months I spent not enjoying and reveling in the hype!

Agreed.
