Yeah it's like with Batman Begins I'd already read the script, it didn't exactly ruin the film for me but knowing very little would've definitely made the experience more satisfying.
I'm a sucker for spoilers. I love them like a fat kid loves candy. I would have read everything about this film had it been leaked out. Thankfully, someone wiser than me saw to it that I didnt get a chance to ruin it for myself..

Its a two edged sword. On one side it really sucks that we know and have seen so little about this film..other than the obvious, we pretty much know zero about the plot. We don't even have a clue ( yet ) what the score will sound like. we arent even sure if more villains, like Lex, will show up or be mentioned.

The other side of that sword is, its great that we do know so little. I practically knew EVERYTHING about SR going in and wasn't surprised by anything, including the kid.

I will actually be surprised this time by this film's story, and thats a good thing. I'm sure nolan wanted it like this to make the experience for us better when we do see it, and snyder most likely agreed.
we are so close now that I dont even care anymore. Just show me the next trailer and i'm good to go..

I'm one of those who don't want to know everything about a movie before I see it. I like surprises when I see a movie (95% of the surprises over the years have been good)....but it gets harder and harder to have these experiences anymore. It especially hard because I am a mod (I have to go into and read spoiler threads) but I have managed to stay away from some.

BB script leaked? Tell me more (I'm young) :wow:

Sarcasm?

Well back in the day one of the early Begins scripts leaked. Which I and many others think was a leak by the studio or someone there. You got banned if u requested it online too. I think it was leaked to show that they weren't gonna screw up like they did with B&R.

I'm the same

Thanks!

If MOS script gets leaked before release (Which I highly doubt), would you read it?

I'm sure I couldn't resist

this close?? I doubt it, but I would read what others thought of it, as long as they kept it ''non spoilerish''...

Yes I would. Even though it would remove any sense of surprise when I finally watched the film.

It's the first time for me going in blind since the invention of the web..
I remember the days before the internet when you were lucky to even know a month beforehand that a movie you wanted to see was even coming out.
I saw S:TM in the theater when I was 6. Its still one of the BEST movie going experiences of my life. all I knew was that my hero was going to be on the big screen and I begged and begged my mom to take me. I ruined several T-shirts after seeing it by taking a black marker and drawing the \S/ on them, and used towels as my cape lol.
I'm a bit old for that now, but I do hope I can re catch that same feeling when I see this film.

Why do I feel in MOS, Superman will have a scene where he has a nightmare about not being able to save everyone ?
Member that scene of Clark in a pit of skulls in the comic con trailer ?
I think that's a nightmare he's having.
Probably just the phantom zone or whatever though.

I would LOVE to know what that scene is. That was incredible looking. I half hope it isn't a dream

Calendar of events to look for:
22-24 March - Wizard World St. Louis
23 March - Kid's Choice Awards ( Rumored Spot for Carl's Jr )

I saw it in the theater when I was 21 :woot:

At that time, I wasn't really a big Superman fan (in those days I was mainly a Marvel fan)...but that movie made me a Supes fan. I consider it the most important movie in comic book movies...because it truely changed the world's perception of comic books, comic book movies, and the character of Superman.

I think that is awesome!

Assuming it's a draft script, is it still available anywhere? Googling only brings me dead links

OH most wise and noble, or is it ancient, one...( need a cane :oldrazz: ) but seriously, thats kool.

thanx. I have many such stories involving superman throughout my life, but thats not for here.

What C. Lee is basically saying he wants to slap the **** outta young people. I concur.

Seconded and I'm part of that generation (assuming I'm not thinking I'm younger than I actually am...)

I remember when that happened, such a different time back then. I think when most people read the script they couldnt believe how close to the comics it was and obscure characters to the public like, falcone, ra's and zsasz were in there.

Plus you're right, after B & R, it was hard to be excited for a 5th batman movie. I remember people saying, "oh there going to make ANOTHER batman film."

Heck, they even leaked the first Green Lantern draft which the positive response is probably what encouraged them to go ahead with it. Unfortunately they changed a lot from that original draft.

I hate the sinking feeling I get after reading them, whenever I do. I feel like punching myself.

I refuse to believe that you were 21 at one moment in time. :o

Same. Only if it's something that is going to actually be made. Scrapped projects (JL:M, Goyer's Flash, even the first GL draft) I like reading.

I know if the movie is good I DEFINITELY DON'T want to know any MOS spoilers. I only want to know if it is bad. If it's good, then I don't care. And I know I'd say to myself "I'm not reading the script", but if it were right at my finger tips online, I KNOW I would read it. That's how little self control I have with this. lol

LOL the Batman Begins script leaked a good 16 months prior to the films opening. it got a good dozen spoiler filled script reviews around the web, starting with latino review. Everybody LOVED it.

The original script by goyer was better than the final film, IMO.
