Man, as good as the photoshop looks I'd like to see Jim Lee do an original drawing of Superman from MOS like the Batman he did from TDK.

The line clearly has a wider meaning. How do people miss it?

It didn't bother me TOO much the first time I saw it. Just the more I thought about it the less I liked it. There were other things that bugged me more in SR to say the least. I liked it a lot at first but I began gradually liking it less and less and less as I left the theater. I'm thinking just the pent up anticipation for a "new" Superman movie had me so psyched and blinded me a little. It wasn't a "horrible" movie though, it just could have been much better than what it was, IMO.

Back to MOS, why are the little liney designy things on his costume grey instead of black in some merchandise pics? The black looks better (although I am hoping it's merely a darker shade of blue (dark navy) than the suit in the movie instead of black.

Definitely think that latest Gamefaqs review is BS. I don't think a review could get anymore vague than that one. Some people just have way too much time on their hands.

Yeah, I truly believe that there are people that see how desperate we MOS fans are for any nugget of news, that they would stoop so low as to announce that they have seen the movie. Then vaguely answer questions that are thrown at said person. It just sucks that there are people so hateful out there, nowadays.

Somebody posted on a previous page about possible dates and venues for something new MOS related and mentioned CinemaCon. Just read that the first footage from I, Frankenstein will debut there and looking at the schedule and it seems Warner Bros. will have their almost 2 hour presentation on Tuesday, April 16th:
Warner Bros. Pictures Invites You to "The Big Picture", an Exclusive Presentation Highlighting the Summer of 2013 and Beyond.
Jeff Robinov, President, Warner Bros. Picture Group
Dan Fellman, President, Domestic Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures
Veronika Kwan Vandenberg, President International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures

It'd be pretty much a given they'll show something new from MOS with Snyder and, maybe Cavill, in attendance but unfortunately we'll just have to deal with reading impressions and reports than seeing anything. :oldrazz:

Last year Nolan was there with new footage from TDKR including the tweaked prologue where Bane was more audible and WB and Peter Jackson also debuted the first 48fps footage for The Hobbit.

So yeah that could be a good week if a new trailer debuts with 42 on April 12th followed by the MTV Movie Awards on the 14th which could offer an exclusive trailer or trailer 3 if 42 doesn't pan out and then CinemaCon footage on the 16th which we'd hear about on Wednesday in the trades like THR.

Then I remember back in Green Lantern days that at WonderCon, WB debuted with new posters for that movie..Maybe this year they'll follow that way..Even if we won't have a trailer with 42, we will have a good time in those days :wow:

Most of that rubbed me the wrong way to be honest. I'm very glad he didn't get to go through with his version.

Glad to see him talking about it. There are certain parts of his take on Superman that I really liked.

I took issue with some of Abrams’ creative choices. But his screenplay was very well written - and it was frickin Hamlet compared to Strick’s Superman Lives script. :word:

Don't get me wrong, I liked some of his stuff, but I'm glad it didn't get made.
Superman needs a good proper reboot on film, which is what we're getting with Man of Steel. The more out-there alternative origin stuff (Like Flyby, or comics like JLA: The Nail, or Red Sun) is great but on film, at least for now, I want a more traditional Superman.

Yeah I read Flyby and I wasn't impressed. Thought it took too many liberties with the character and the ending was rushed. I don't like the idea of a Krypton that doesn't blow up (we know some of it survived in Abrams script), I don't mind Kryptonians surviving but not Jor El etc. I didn't actually mind the royalty stuff so much but I felt it was handled poorly. Still I wouldn't mind reading a graphic novel based on Flyby, same with Strick's Lives.

3-4 more weeks and we'll be swimming in MOS promotional material!

The most important thing they have to get right is Henry's characterization. Superman can be a tiger if aggravated enough, but the warmth and nobility of the character is the most important thing to translate.

I know, unfortunately its the age we live in. Some people get kicks from talking out of their ass

Nah, Bruce is just using one of his many disguises. He's undercover in Metropolis trying to find out more about this alien.
