Somebody posted on a previous page about possible dates and venues for something new MOS related and mentioned CinemaCon. Just read that the first footage from I, Frankenstein will debut there and looking at the schedule and it seems Warner Bros. will have their almost 2 hour presentation on Tuesday, April 16th:

It'd be pretty much a given they'll show something new from MOS with Snyder and, maybe Cavill, in attendance but unfortunately we'll just have to deal with reading impressions and reports than seeing anything. :oldrazz:

Last year Nolan was there with new footage from TDKR including the tweaked prologue where Bane was more audible and WB and Peter Jackson also debuted the first 48fps footage for The Hobbit.

So yeah that could be a good week if a new trailer debuts with 42 on April 12th followed by the MTV Movie Awards on the 14th which could offer an exclusive trailer or trailer 3 if 42 doesn't pan out and then CinemaCon footage on the 16th which we'd hear about on Wednesday in the trades like THR.
Wow, thanks for the heads up. It's very believable that MOS will have a presence in some capacity.

@LOLendraSingh: I have never liked Superman movies. But I will watch Man of Steel. Because in this movie, superhero is Sir Christopher Nolan.

Tweets like this make me wonder if Nolan 's name really is enough to get people to see the film.

Nolan's been knighted? Appropriate, I suppose.

A watchful protector (of information of the film from the press), a silent guardian, Sir Nolan.

Flyby was the movie Superman deserved, but not the one it needed right then... or maybe vice versa. The thing about the crap parts of that script is that they were very easily removable. They were like benign tumors. You could have cut stuff like kryptonian Lex, Jor-El killing himself, etcetera, and most of the coolness of the rest of that script would have been left intact. It makes me sad that some of that very neat stuff will never see the light of day.

These Bat puns are deplorable. :o

I don't think these puns are bat at all... they're actually quite good. At least I'm not Robin them from anyone because they've never been used! :oldrazz:

See what I did there? Double whammy.

You mean tweets like this one that implies she is only interested in the movie because Sir Chris Nolan's name is attached to it? :oldrazz:

Ill agree some of the stuff was easily rewritable, Kryptonian Lex was already removed from that last draft that leaked out. For all we know a lot of stuff might've been for the shooting script but that draft hasn't been released to the public. But I think it needed major rewrites there were other stuff than just the Krypton stuff and Lex etc

I don't think Bale looks fat there. He almost looks healthy in the face. He's becoming the Eddie Murphy of CBMs. Haha. My knee jerk reaction wasn't "holy **** fat Christian Bale!" It was "boy Christian Bale got big...doesn't look bad". Hollywood will make him look how they want him to look though.

Abrams went on to talk about how Man of Steel looks to be taking a similar approach to the character:
“The idea in the movie was that he became Superman because he realized he had to finally own his strength and what he’d always been. I don’t know if that’s what Zack and Chris [Nolan] are doing, but it looks like that’s part of the idea and I could not be more thrilled to see that movie. That to me was always the way to go.”

Interesting

Like what, for instance? I'm talking about the 1st draft. I think the 2nd one was a big step down, even if it did fix some problems. Overall, I'd say the 1st one makes for a much cooler read.

I agree. It'll definitely do better than Batman Begins.

I mean, that's a no brainier at this point isn't it ? It's safe to say it's going to make 500 mil ww at the very least.

Yet watch it only make 200 million ww.
I would die. :cmad:

The ending was rushed for one, he dies and is back within no time, that guy trying to rape Martha Kent (too much for a family movie), the fact Superman kills the villain and he knows that he's killing him and I didn't like the Clark Lous stuff when they were in College. It was just unnecessary.

Am I the only one who wasn't...impressed by the trailer?

I have faith in Snyder because I enjoyed Watchmen and 300, but still...
