Little question, how dark does it look in 3D, considering the colors are pretty dark already?

I personally don't think it looks dark anyway. I'd say it looks a bit washed out if that makes sense... Just a bit grey/bluey, but people's skin and the sky and stuff are all still pretty bright.

As for the difference in 3D, it's just the same as with all other 3D movies. Some people think it makes it loads darker, I personally don't find it that noticeable.

Speaking of trailers, I actually liked Wolverine's.

The beginning of the Wolverine trailer reminds me of Clark feeling lost while in Alaska. That's just me.

I want to see something fall, something big. Then I want to see Supes catch it before it squashes 10,000 people DT Metropolis.

That's all I want in the next trailer, couldn't care less about anything else. Save the rest for the movie.

Irrelevant, I want him to catch a piece of a building, and I want casualties. Enough of this Superman saves everyone and everything bulls**t. It's predictable and boring. Glass shards falling into the streets as half a building falls as Supes is underneath it, not to mention the people inside being crushed by filing cabinets.

And the only person he could punch is Zod. It's not like he's going to right hook a bank robber and send his head flying across Metropolis.

I just realised something weird. All those showings that have had the MOS trailer since it came out, and I haven't seen the Iron Man 3 trailer on the big screen yet.

Seen Pacific Rim once, World War Z a couple of times, Another Earth once... But no Iron Man. Weird.

Anyone else in the UK found that, or is it just my cinema?

IM# is all I've seen in the U.S. Even with indie fare like Silver Linings Playbook.

I remember laughing when I had also heard that during the "Teens Choice Awards" that SR was one of the films nominated for the "Best Fights". How is that possible? Well apparently, they thought that Plane was considered a "tough opponent" for Superman, hence "Superman vs the Plane" being considered as a category.lol

On another note; are you freaking kidding me WB? Wolverine has both a Teaser and a International trailer as well within one day, along with probably more different photos and posters for the film than us.

Unless someone can give me a good reason to say otherwise, Warner Bros. you guys OFFICIALLY suck when it comes to promoting your film. If MOS is labeled a critical success but doesn't make great numbers (ala J.J Abrams Star Trek) then blaming the poor marketing of this film wouldn't be out of the question.

You have made some valid points, but the problem is attaching MOS trailer to some movies whose target demographic does not match will defeat the purpose.

I mean, the 42 movie is a biographical film about the life of baseball player Jackie Robinson. how many comic book fans will go to watch it ?

Then, WB should have attached #3 rd MOS trailer with GI: Joe 2, at least it would have reached it's intended audience.

i am a comic fan who loves baseball as much as any american but i will not see 42 it looks like a dud .

I think it looks pretty dark/somber at times. Like when the kid is running through the school hallway. It's not ugly necessarily, but if it is a ubiquitous thing, it could be a problem. And if on top of that you add the 3D... it worries me because I think the IMAX that I'm planning to watch it in may just be IMAX 3D.

I don't like how Snyder darkened the palette even more from the teaser. Compare the shots of the wave hitting the rock in the teaser and trailer. Totally different. He changed it to a very dark blue hue. I much prefer the lighter look in the teaser. #nitpics

I guess he's just applying the dark filter throughout the film for consistency sakes.

i recall bryan singer trashing the marketing for superman returns , and you what's funny is that the man of steel trailer 2 is getting more airplay over the internet then it is on tv or at the movies if it was up to the internet ron paul would have been our president .

Man of Steel had two teasers and a full trailer plus several images by now. The Wolverines teaser was only a teaser for the trailer. If anthing Wolverine has had even less marketing than MOS considering its also a film that's coming out this summer. Until the last few weeks there was virtually nothing for the Wolverine. But I do agree that WBs needs to up the ante.

I will always consider the ´´full`` trailer only full by length, not content. Content wise, it's a teaser. Very little narrative or dialogue, nothing of the villains not a single full money shot. It's an extended teaser really is what it is. The international and domestic trailers for Wolverine already have way more plot, dialogue and money shots than MOS's trailer and they are also teasers, according to director Mangold.

It seems like a lot of superheroes now need to learn to embrace who they are. If I was Wolverine, I wouldn't give up my abilities. Same thing if I were Superman.

Well in Wolverine's defense, when you've had his powers for as long as he has, which I believe transcends over a decade's worth, and experience the losses that he has, it's definitely understandable that he'd want to have a means to put a end to it all and find what he believes to be peace through death. It's not like he's had his powers for just over two decade's worth and suddenly decided that he wanted to be "normal".

And in regards to Superman's case, if you've had to live most of your life in a lie, where you couldn't freely demonstrate to people on what you were capable of doing in fear of their response towards you and that you could be placed within a cage for being who you are, then that could change your view on wanting to be "superman".

If anything, MOS seems like it'll actually tackle the fact of what some of us have been trying to say here all along that it's not easy being someone like superman where you have the powers that he has and not misuse it since it'd be very easy. A lot of figures throughout history started out great only to become victims of their own power and eventually lost their ways.
