Okay so I just realised This is the End is coming out on the 14th June in the US (doesn't come out until 28th over here)... Is no one a little concerned about the effect that might have on the box office.

I mean, seriously, that movie has the potential to be very popular.

Actually This is the End got moved up to June 12th. So it will have 2 days to itself before MoS even releases. The closest approximation to its effect will be "Pineapple Express" which also released on a Wednesday during TDK. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=daily&id=pineappleexpress.htm

It will have a good Wednesday and Thursday but those 2 days will be the biggest days of its run. By the time MoS hits on Friday, the rush factor of This is the End will have finished.

This is the End is actually concerned about MoS, they would rather take their chances against days 6 and 7 of "After Earth" than day 1,2 and 3 of MoS

I guess you don't seem to get that some movies are not for everyone.

MOS is a film for all ages, from families with kids, to older couples/ singles.


This Is The End is an R rated comedy for adults. The most it can realistically get is 100-125 million. TOTAL.

That mask reminds me of that alternate silver Cobra Commander mask from the 80's GI Joe cartoons. I don't remember him every wearing it on the show; I just remember the toy. Anyway, it looks cool. The look in that guy's eyes is hilarious though.

I don't know if its been discussed here, but I was reading yesterday that Hollywood is paying big time attention to the Chinese market to the point where IM3 has different scenes and storyline for China, I truly hope this wont be the case with MOS....

It's one of the leftover elements from the Superman Lives script that Snyder decided to use. Only instead of fighting polar bears, Zod fights a black bear in a forest, skins it alive, and uses its hide for a cape.
