I'm guessing it'll be like how TDKR's TV Spots were released so expect maybe even another new one this week.

I like the sound of this. I remember getting very hyped when watching TDKR's spots, especially the later ones.

God this game is off the chain..best championship game i've seen in yrs. Couldn't have picked a better game to hook your trailer up to.

Well, considering it is just a condensed version of the previous trailer, i find the selection of shots they opted to keep and exclude odd.

Not included
-mid air collision between Superman and someone else between buildings
-Perry White running from collapsing building
-Russel Crowe close up
-Zod close up
-Metal object flying infront of explosion
-Alien pod by Kent farm

Basically, many of the more action oriented shots.

While including
-split second shot of Costner (can't even tell its him)
-Military guy and old guy stare of screen
-Superman flying by huge light beam (can't really tell what is going on there)
-Close up of Lois

I would have cut the military and old guy shot as well as Superman flying by the light beam, switched the Costner close up with Russell Crowe's close up (he is more recognizable) & added the mid air collision & Perry fleeing collapsing building shots, personally. Give it a grander, more action packed feel.

I am sure the action is going to build as the tv spots go on, I'm hoping that the action isn't actually limited and is the reason they are saving it.

I havent been watching the game but one of my friends did text me saying they just showed a sweet MOS commercial. I am guessin most people outside of us prolly thought it was new footage. To us, who have watched the trailer 50+ times, its old stuff.

Whoa...I marked out when I saw the TV spot on my FB feed. Shame no new footage but where's there 1 spot they'll be more.

Nice one WB.

And suddenly no one is talking about the lack of marketing. :o

Well, Snyder has been saying for 2 years that it is action packed & we will see Superman punching a lot of things, so...one can only hope.

No more real estate adventures? ;)

The new spot definitely doesn't show as much action as the 1st Superman Returns TV Spot, but that doesn't mean anything.

The point is, they put the spot with a sporting event which draws millions of viewers. So those viewers are going to all now be aware that Superman is back this Summer. It's not what it is, it is where it is.

LOL

Nothing is cooler than ugly, morose looking continents being thrown into outer space...should have AT LEAST shown us the huge tsunami the damn thing would have created as opposed to some slight tremor which looked right out of a made for tv movie.

That movie...the air plane scene & scene where supes and Lois fly = 10000/10. The rest -= 5/10.

That isn't strictly true. If people are turned off the knowledge isn't a good thing.

I think the general public would have liked to see more action to get them more pumped during a action packed final. I'm at a bar and grille and there wasn't that much buzz after the spot.

Something big and action packed would have been nice during a great NCAA Final game IMO. No biggie though.

Hell yeah.

Even though it's just the trailer recut, I am happy we have something new and official finally!!! :D

It is too early in the game for a tv spot's footage to matter. The tv spot merely sere a reminder, helping to lay the foundation for buzz to build when the marketing really explodes.

WB needed that.

For a first television spot that could just be a one and out. It was fine if you ask me. It wasn't Casablanca, but i did its job.

Maybe "piss poor" was a little harsh. I'm mostly annoyed that is what was put out there especially after getting a text from a friend who said it looked terrible and that spot being his first impression of the film.

But I still think its not all that strong. The bites, while great bites, play a little long and feel a little clunky for a :30. They needed to be a little more succinct.

Granted, I'm sure the post house had a mandate to cut down the trailer and to avoid new things, and they did the best they could, I just think WB should've splurged for a :60.

I'd add that I liked the rescue sequence in the water, but for some reason I didn't feel he was lifting/flying when he saved Richard, Lois, and Jason. The illusion just wasn't there. Routh made the face of lifting, but the imagery was off to me.

I agree completely... showing a dumbass retread of the trailer is really quite ****... RAMP IT UP with new stuff... sheesh these guys suck

What is funny is the film itself had little action. That spot itself is really sloppy. Everything related to the new continent, outside of the ship being destroyed....was borderline unmarketable, it is so ugly to look at.

I cant believe that thing got green lighted...
