Made a thread first. Got taken away. Then someone made the same thread later. It stays and I am yelled at for complaining about it.

Anyone would want to know why something like that happened to them.

You didn't get yelled at...yet. You are getting upset over a thread being merged....that's life in the big city. You are also getting belligerant and rude....I suggest you calm down and move on to talking about Superman.

Maybe people weren't posting as much in it when you made it earlier, now it's moving along because more people are online right now? Anyways.....

By looking at the new superman pic, I think he is protecting of what is inside the vault. Look at at his hand on the vault. I think it's his spaceship. Probably zod wants his spaceship or the U.S. Army. And it appears to be underground.

It's a bank robbery he's stopping no?

i like the protecting thing. he got slammed into it, and is getting up ready to fight

im really surprised nobody has compared these yet...

Many people already did earlier today. Very cool comparison though.

That's actually a comparison I hadn't seen until now, thank you for posting!:up:

Damn, that's pretty cool how similar the poses are in those pics. Don't know if it was intentional, but it would be sweet if it was.

Sorry, didnt realize it was already discussed.

I really hope this was intentional. For Tomorrow is probably my favorite Superman tale...It clearly emphasizes "the burden", which I think is the core of his character. I hope Snyder and Nolan are pushing that theme. Superman Returns tried with his disappearance, but then got caught up in Lex's looney tunes.

That's one long flowing cape!!
Looks like he's protecting whatevers in that massive
Vault.

I think its just a post production promos shot. I wonder of this even in the film. Fantastic shot.

Well, from what I vaguely remember of certain "first shots" for other comic book films, generally, if the background that these characters were in looked like an actual set, then the photo was either taken from a scene itself OR there will be a scene featuring a similar visual.

Like the first photos for BB and TDK respectively, or even the first shot of RDJ as Tony Stark (building his first iron man suit).

Indeed. He does look like he has been thrown into it. Only person who could do that is Zod. Begs the question. Why is Zod robbing a bank.

Or. Maybe Zod is attacking people and supes has put people in the vault to protect them. Explains the very cool pose.

It could be somewhere else, I mean, banks aren't the only places with vaults.

Come to think of it, I can't remember the last time a comic book film had its very first picture regarding the protagonist, released in a photo that WASN'T related to the actual film in some way, so I'm thinking that there's a good chance that the shot shown could have some role in the film itself.

Ok. But if you see a vault we imediatly relate it to a bank. I like my second idea better though.

On a side note, I really hope that Snyder doesn't make the same mistake that Singer did on adding some type of color draining filter on the final cut of the film. For a character like Superman, it just doesn't do his film any justice if you add a color template that drains the livelihood of the colors, so I'm hoping that the tinted colors from our first image isn't a sign of them saying that they'll do that as well.

i still can not belive. i am shocked how BADASS the pose is. wooow. just wooow .

and what i realyl like about it is that it doesnt look forced like the watchmen promo shots or like any SNyder promo shot. it looks natural . it just looks fantastic.

thsi is IMO the perfect promo image for a reboot like MOS

I think this is just a picture created to show the suit and is not intended to be related to any part of the movie...once again people are reading too much into photos. I told y'all the "S" shown at comic-con was not the one they would use but some people swore up and down it was...WRONG!

I didn't immediately think bank.

Mainly because my mind went to Superman breaking OUT of there.

He's facing us and that's definitely the outside of the thing, so he's definitely not just broken IN to somewhere.

So my first thought - Government have tried to lock him up, and he's just busted out.

But it could easily be that Zod's thrown him into it too.

It's just such a tease! :p
